Hi there guys.

I just recently did some work on this turbo for some guy.
He wanted it bored out to 61mm from 49.50mm taperd. Not sure why yet...havent asked him. But I wrote down all the spec of the turbo cos I though some one on here might know what kind of car it comes from.

This is what it had written on it.
IHI Turbo
SPEC-VF8.9012
RHB52-11.262A
PARTS-14412AA041

Subaru uses IHI turbos. I know that there is someone else who uses them as well, but I can't think who it is at this time. Sorry that I can't be of more help. Best of luck.

i think its VW but i am not sure. thats a 30% answer

 

If memory serves VF8 is a subaru legacy turbo specifically... It's not at all big though... Smaller Mazda cars <323GTX, MX6> used ihi's in the late 80s early 90s

 

Vw i believe the new models run a tiny KKK turbo.
