failed turbo rebuilds. oil burning
I have recently been running a used engine with good compression. I got my stock s5 turbo rebuilt. My car was burning oil, so at first I questioned my used engine with good compression because my turbo had just been rebuilt. After meeting some people that had gone through the same shop, I was told a few bad stories or oil burning problems also.
I took it back already once. It looked dry everywhere, but when he took off the plate before u get to the seals, there was oil everywhere. So he got another seal and put it on. After driving 40 miles of no smoke, My car starts smoking like Cheech and Chong.
I have a 1/16" oil restricotr on it. My engine also has high oil pressure regulator mods. Im at about 70psi idle. You think that could have something to do with it?
1) He said the center housing section could be bad. What do you guys think?

What would I have to do to rebuild it to get the shaft play like new? Is it possible
So I took my turbo aback and I got word. He's having such bad luck rebuilding it, he is just going to stick the shaft back into one of the old turbos. Im really dissapionted because I paid 320 for the rebuild. And now it feels like I paid 320 for balancing. I dont know what to do
