exhaust A/R, two possibilities, what size?
Hi,
I own a S6 FD RX7 in over in New Zealand. I have been gathering the parts to retune my car to around 300kw or 400hp at the rear wheels.
Currently the car is putting down 225kw or 300 hp at the rears on 10psi or boost and pump fuel.
Some specs on the car are:
Stage 2 extended port 13B (about 3000ks or 1800 miles on it)
3mm seals
NOT doweled
Custom built Garrett T04B/E turbo (e compressor, B turbine, 58mm compressor wheel .86 A/R exhaust)
Stainless manifold and front pipe
50mm turbonetics wastgate and bov
Aloy race radiator
Custom made 100mm (3.9inch) thick intercooler and aloy piping
3" exhaust with 4" muffler
Airtex intank fuel pump (600hp rating)
850cc primary injectors, 1600cc secondary
Top feed secondary rail
Fuel lines and FPR
Apexi Power FC computer
The turbo currently has a .86A/R exhaust housing and it producing full boost extreamly fast, 10psi below 3000rpm.
As the motor is not doweled I want to be as lenient as I can.
I can get hold of two differnent exhaust housings, a .96 or a 1.32A/R housing for my turbo.
Im leaning towards the 1.32 as this will free up some load on the motor and the .96 is only marginaly bigger then what I already have.
What Im wondering is will the 1.32 be too laggy? If so should I just try with what I have?
What do you think?

The 1.32 housing is the one I am leaning toward for the retune as boost will be going up around the 20psi mark. What do you think the lag will be like with this housing? I can put up with boost comming on later but would like full boost at or before 5000rpm.
