Engine is almost done, pics of porting and water jacket mod

Well my engine is almost ready, my engine builder was kind enough to let me take some pictures of the porting before he put it together.
It has all new parts :-)

Sorry, but I still havent really grasped the concept of all the different types of ports and how they look. Is that just a really f*ckin huge streetport? Because I dont really see it interfering with any of the coolant passages. Isnt that what constitutes a street port?

Someone help me!

Larry Scott (Independent Honda/Mazda in Escondido, CA) built the engine, he usually makes bridgeported 12A's for rally racing 1st gens.

A water jacket mod is the ribbing you can see in some of the pictures, it creates more surface area for the water, and creates turbulence to cool the combustion chamber.
The porting itself usually goes for $150-400 depending on the port and shop.

He uses a die grinder, it is tedious and time consuming.
