Is EFR right for me?

I am going to throw a twist/monkey wrench into the discussion. My original question was, is efr right for me? So I owe it to myself to consider other setups that might work that could be considerable less expensive and save me money, and maybe would satisfy me. What about bnr's? What about the gt35, (m24, a/r.70, 1.06 hotside that came off the car that I already have? It spooled slow IMO, but maybe that was setup, injector, the shitty leaking chinese manifold, leaking vaccuum lines, poor tune problems, or porting issues, who knows. Thoughts?

You would have to have a T3 manifold made for that since there aren't any available off the shelf.
Divided T4 exhaust housing is available for GT35R (GT3582R), so you should be able to use that with off the shelf rotary manifolds on the GT3576R.
Only problem is the GT3576R costs the same as the EFR 7670, then you have to buy the right exhaust housing and of course it still doesn't spool as well.

However : If it costs the same as an EFR , Garrett needs to seriously rethink their pricing if they don't want to die a slow painful death.

Plan accordingly and you wouldn't need to sell toys to provide for your family in 20 years.

So to be feasible you would get a gtx3576r with a 1.06T4 . That would still spool well and offer better top end than a 7670 (according to the published compressor maps)

I'd like to hear how the spool of the EFRs stacks up against my current setup..... can anyone running around with one can tell us how quickly you see 15 psi when you floor it from a low rpm, say 2000 in 3rd or 4th gear?

I had wondered how a smaller garrett would stack up. I read in another thread somewhere, can't find it now, someone likened the 7670 to a gt3076, and the 8374 to a gt35. So I wonder why the same crowd that is now after the 7670s didn't previously run 3076s, even though it required a custom manifold? How is a 3076 on top? Dies off and runs out steam as bad or worse than a BW 7670?
The gtx3576r ticks all the right boxes for a quick spooling 450whp.Turbine and compressor are almost the same as the EFR7670 but the gtx76 compressor is more efficient in the PR range a rotary will operate.
The fact that it is priced similarly to an EFR kinda kills it however due to the EFRs superior spoolup.

What turbo do you have and what do you see ? Just curious

IRP is coming out with their EFR kit pretty soon, so you'll have a good chance of seeing something like this from the boys in NJ

8374 with ewg 1.05 still spools beautiful. Mine with ebc turned off on 7psi springs has rock-solid boost control and response at 7-8psi, just for a stupid example. May not be able to do that with the IWG. I used the light springs for run-in purposes but they work well and are great in the wet so they stay. EBC has no prob with 18psi. (maybe more? car is tuned to 18)
Went with ewg for packaging concerns more than anything else (tight engine bay/ existing twin gate mani) but glad i did.
EDIT, but if you need new manifold anyway and already have water inj, it would be mad not to consider turblown iwg kit. Those cast manifolds are sexy.
