You can get that on the twin set up, with bigger injectors.

You won't see 390 rwhp on factory twins w/o riding the razor's edge of detonation. PERIOD ! Even then, that number is hard to reach.

Look at my mods. My engine has 9.000 miles on it. It's street ported w/ all mods listed below (except no alc/water inj. and boost at 15.8) . Running a 12.8 a/f ratio at 15.8 psi pulled 330 rwhp. This was on 93 octane gas.

------------------
'95 VR RX-7 R2 - New Engine w/ Street port, intake, dp, mp, cat-back, BOV, elbow, pulleys, Trust SMIC, Alcohol/Water Injection, i/c pipes, clutch, 9.5# fly, fuel pump, rising rate regulator, 1200cc Secondary Injectors, Power FC, Factory Rebuilt Turbos, 17# boost, HKS Twin Power, 10mm wires, NGK plat. plugs

I'm afraid I have to agree with Roy. You are not going to see 390 rwhp on the stock twins, at least not without virtually guaranteeing a blown engine.

CarCrazy on this board pulled 393 rwhp with his HKS T-04S kit. Should be similar to what the XS engineering kit will give you depending on which flavor of T4 you go with. Check it out:

If you don't mind a little lag and would like more potential power you could always go with a T78 kit. A lot of the guys on the boards have this setup with the Haltech so there is lots of support if you are doing the job yourself.

If the car is ported correctly and has all the goodies (exhaust, computer, big ic, cold air box, etc) you should make 360 to 365 rwhp @ 15 psi on pump gas with the stock twins....

I have said this before, but you can't say that all rotaries should get XX HP with certain mods and boost level. Each engine is different and when compared to other engines it will produce a wide variation of HP. I have discussed this issue with Chris of RP several times. Cars with no mods have around a 20 HP spread and mod cars have about a 30 HP spread.

Point being . . . . I think Roy could have his setup perfect. A perfectly good engine/turbos with good tuning. I would expect to see 330 to 360 at 15 psi. And this is what I have personally seen on the dyno sheets that have either been floating around the net or I have seen at RP.

Sure you can...If you have the correct port job same parts etc...Most of my friends who have done what I have said run within 9 hp of each other...

I admit ... it can be done ... and I am somewhat impressed by your results. Got any dyno graphs to show me? I am not trying to be rude. I just usually like to quote what I have seen and if I am going to change my tune I would like to be thoughly convinced. I do agree that most comparisons are done with many different variables, but I think there are only modest differences between parts. (Just personal opinion)
