Sorry, but I suspect that dyno reads waaaaaaaaaaay too high to take seriously. Isn't that the same dyno that put Lupe into the 600 hp club? I'd say you're probably not making more than 420 whp.

Not sure about this dyno but with his trap speed he is well over 420! Usually 500 rwhp on a FD puts you in the 10.9 club and he went 10.8, I think..

So how much PSI did Steve tune it for? I am suprised he was ok doing it on pump gas. Most tuners do not want to push the edge...

First i want to thank everyone!

20.1 psi on a turbonetics 62-1

850/1600 injectors with twin walbros.

Haltec e6k with hks twin power on 8 month old 10.5 ngk plugs.

8.5 s4 ceramic coated rotors and coated houseings 3mill seals, street port built by rx7 specialties in Canada.

The intake air temps were about 8 deg above ambient and after the pull you could keep your hand on the upper intake plenuim and it was still cool! Ive built a number of shields to keep the motor and water temps cool, and i belive it helps alot.
Ambient was 71.6 in the building.

I want to stat that Steve Kan does not tune 20 lbs on 93 oct, this was just a dyno pull that i had him datalog to see were the car was. Steve tuned the car last year and it was me that felt it would hold 20 psi. basied on the 8 months that i have been running 20 lbs.

I also would not recomend this for anyone else its too close to the edge and i will be going meth injection and run some race gas in the mean time. But i had to know!

I drove the car 250 miles there on bp 93 and filled up before the dyno with bp 93 and then drove 250 miles home getting 20 miles per gal at 75/80 miles per hour.

The car has gone 10.87 at 127 and 10.90 at 127 the 10.90 was with a 10th slower 60 ft time.

The car also is a touring with a/c power steering and working crusie.

I will answer any questions if you dont mind dumb answers! Thanks!

He's been putting that much POWER down on 93 octane for nearly one year. He doesn't baby the car either, running numerous back-halved cars on the weekends.

Lupes right i dont think i have ever driven the car without hitting 20 psi. And the heads, cam and nos viper can tell you the same. Im the only built rx7 in my city and i get to here all the **** but there are a number of them that now are talking good **** even if they dont know what it is! Plus at 59 years old i dont which will go first me or the car!

First congrats on those #'s
BUT
my car has trapped that high 128 with more weight (2 JL 12s in the trunk and full fiberglass enclosure, A/C,P/S) and I only made 460 whp on PFSupercars dyno no your trap seems to indicate a litlle less wheel HP

What was your ET and what tire?

He was on an ET street so they are going to have a lower trap than a radial tire.
