I'm curious if anyone has done any dyno tests before and after with the catch can set up the way we've discussed. Not just an overflow.....but actually set up to work with the rising pressure.
So why doesnt the stock crankcase vent work??? Is it just not enough for high boost applications? I guess what some of you guys are saying is that since it vents back to the intake thats how you get the oil and such into the intake? Is that right? So then you just install a catch can between the filler neck and the intake to catch the oil? Then you can either keep it going back to intake OR slap a filter on it and let it go to atmosphere
Is this pretty much the jist of it?

The problem... On a road race track, oil would slosh up the filler neck and get sucked out the side port by the PCV line and smoke. Most of us would run a 1/2 quart or more low to aleviate th eproblem. Well, i didn't like removing the amount of oil in the motor. Kyle Krutilek and I kicked the idea of a ctach can around, he actually made one scratch, I tested the concept on track with an Evian water bottle. After being satisfied the unit worked, I sourced the Jaz bottle and installed it in my car. The result was I can now run with a full crankcase of oil with no sloshing problems.

i'm trying to decide on getting a catch can like the jaz and just plugging up the return. my question is, if there is no return line, is the catch can even necessary or can i just tap into the oil filler neck and directly attach just a breather.
