Choosing a Turbo for my T2
well im going to be in the market for bigger power pretty soon so im going to start now. Im looking to make around 300-350hp. Im looking for something very quick spooling with engine response as my main goal in mind. my mods are listed in my sig which ill probably retain a similar setup to what i have + fuel components. Im looking to spend about 1200 at the most for a new unit. -alex

I run a 91 JDM TII motor in my FB
Im running a moderately rewelded Obx stainless manifold and a ebay special To4b turbo
the turbo is 1.15 p trim divided on the exhaust and a 60 trim on the cool side.
Although I was not able to fully boost it because of a problem with my haltech. turbo spool up seamed to be VERY fast and engine responce was good considering the haltech was not tuned.
sorry I cant give you more info, but I was only able to drive the car for two weeks before i had to put it away for the winter.

Wheel "trim" refers to the squared ratio of the smaller diameter divided by the larger diameter times 100. Usually, the larger the trim, the more flow the wheel has. This whare the "dude, get a 50 trim turbo" comes from.
Most people will use P trim on a street car. Q trim flows more exhaust and is more for making big numbers, in a small'ish power band.
making that much hp will be either really pushing a hybrid, or no sweat for a full upgrade. If you have the coin, id go w/a t04b 60-1, .84 a/r with a divided foot print. Doing this will require a fmic, standalone, wastegate, and mani though...
If not a hybrid will get you close, if not make your power level.

cool, hope to see you around.
I have a t04e hybrid .68a/r, bored 3" from turbine through back plate. It should make 300hp at the wheels..but we'll see when i get the bugs sorted.
How much are you planning on spending on the upgrade?
