ceramics and turbos

ceramics and turbos

i know they make ceramic bearings for turbos, but do they make ceramic turbo turbines or ceramic turbine wheels?

They do make ceramic turbine wheels. I think the GNX had one.

i would asume lighter so it ould spool faster but i'm sure there are more

Lighter, spool faster, more heat resistant. Down side, fragile, any tiny debri (like a little chunk of carbon) can cause chips of the turbine to break off, or complete catistrophic failure. The later model Sky Lines (R34) use twin ceramic turbines stock from the factory. I hear theres reliablitlity issues with them.

Almost impossible to get.
