Carb vs Fuel injection

I'm trying to find out if anyone has some info regarding a head to head comparison of a turbo carbed motor(Holley 750+GT-66)and A FI motor(PFC+GT-66). All things the same on the car how will they stack up against each other? Pros + Cons?

Bros, nobody has anything to say about comparing a turbo carbed motor to a FI one?

no one has said anything so i'll chime in

on the street the injected engine will drive soo much better than the carbied one, the fact that with FI you'd also have ECU controlled ignition means thru the midrange you'd be making more HP.

outright power the carb will be close to the FI set up but street driving and general driveability the FI will have it all over the carb

Yes, but you can give your car that "retro" look with a carb. Who cares if it is never tuned right, or if it has flat spots? I think a turbo-ready carb kit (ie special seals, plugs, floats, etc., to handle the boost) is well worth the extra cost over a Microtech EMS. The pressure drop caused by the carb is no big deal. Adjustable timing, density compensation, datalogging, and rev limiting are overrated. There is nothing like a nice, shiny carb to go along with bias ply tires and leaf springs.

Was that sarcastic? I know you guys arent talking **** about carbs especially when funny cars and the big V-8 that are getting into the f**king 4s are using them with methenol. For around town drivabilty?? If any of us gave a **** about drivability we wouldnt have cars that get less than 12mpg, HAVE to have special parts, and break all the time. Im talking about running at the track. I have seen MANY more problems on FI engines than on carb. I had a PFC and sold that with my car last week. Im looking at doing something different, and the question of a turbo carbed motor came to mind.

Well it sounds like you have already made up your mind then. Have fun with your 1896-era float carburetor, and good luck tuning a turbo rotary with it.
