Can somone help me make a oil feed line?
All right, I want to make an oil feed line for a t4 turbo. What i know so far is a i need an adapter for the turbo feed/return. Were i am confused is what fittings do i need for the engine to the turbo and from the turbo to the engine. What size hose? What size fittings? What thing everything? Maybe this will help some people cause i did a search and found nothing. Thanks.

you could either run -3 or -4 an line for the feed. You will need an adapter to either go on the front iron housing where there is normally a banjo bolt, or put the adapter on that hard line coming from that place. I forget the exact specs of the adapter, i think it it 14x1.5mm to -4 but I'm not certain. Then you would need an adapter to go from the -4 line to your turbo oil inlet. I just bought a set of 5 three foot -4 lines with the hose ends, so if you want one, let me know. For the oil return, you would want to use probably no smaller than -10, but -12 would probably be preferred. Also, remember the return out of the turbo must come as close to vertical as possible as it drains using gravity.

If you're planning on using the stock hard line that runs across the block to near the turbo, you'll need a 14mm x 1.5 adapter --> whatever size line you want to use. I used -6 AN line , so I bought a 14mm x 1.5 (male) --> -6 AN (male). The fittings on the line ends are female, so that will hook right up to the line. Then, you've got to go from a female -6 AN line end to your turbo. My T4 had a 1/4" female feed already tapped into the center section. So I realized that the female -6 AN fits perfectly onto a male 1/4", so all I had to do was buy a 90 degree fitting with male 1/4" ends on each side, and screw it all together. The fit from that stock hard line to a turbo is really tight. I had to buy 3 ft of line...I used ~3 inches.
For the turbo drain, I got a T4 turbo drain flange with a 1/2" female tap. I used -12 AN line. So, I had to buy a fitting that was 1/2"(male) --> -12 AN (male). That will go into the female fitting on the end of the -12 AN line and you're set. I just cut my stock primary turbo oil return hard line and double hose clamped the -12 AN line to it. The return line isn't under pressure and this way you won't have to fabricate some flange to bolt up to the stock return. So that may seem a little confusing in paragraph form. Here's a list of what I used,
Feed:
1 14mm x 1.5(male) to -6 AN(male)
1 -6 AN SS braided line
2 -6 AN (female) line end fittings
2 male-male 1/4" threads
1 female 90 degree 1/4"
Return:
1 T4 Turbo flange 1/2" female tap
1 1/2" (male) to -12 AN (male)
1 -12 AN line end fitting (female)
1 -12 AN braided SS line
I ordered everything from Aeroquip/Earls Performance Products throught O'reilly auto parts. I took about 2 days to arrive and cost about $130 If you got any other questions or need something clarified more just shoot.

On this write up it does say what size adapter to use for oil feed line
(metric size/pitch) unknown
Is it the same as FC

They make just about any adapter you'd need. If the FC has an M12 stock fitting, then yes you could get M12 (male) --> -4 AN (male). You can go with whatever line size you want, I just went with -6 AN out of personal preference

Turbostreetfighter: Builds parts for NASA and I have used the same thread without a problem but my max oil psi has been 20 psi since I haven’t fully started my engine yet, but a little gas safe Teflon tape and your set.
"the TPI ( thread per inch) is the same on the FD block as a 1/4-NPT fitting!! if you use a 1/4-NPT to -4 male JIC straight fitting and gasoline application pipe tape it will not leak and then you can run a custom line to feed your turbo with no fear of leaking!!"

Does anyone know the fitting sizes to run this setup for a T78?
Will a T3/T4 Oil drain flange work on a T78?
oil feed is done, just need return sizes.
What size is the return hard pipe comon off the block?
Thanks

Actualy the line I sell is $56 shipped and comes with the correct metric to JIC fitting for the block, the line (professionally assembled and able to hold 3000psi) and whatever other adapter you need to thread into your turbo...
I did not reply to you on purpose as you basicly stated your price, or should I say what you "felt" your price "should" be. Glad you now see the fitting needs to be stockpiled to be readily available for someone like yourself who needs it "yesterday" and overnighted to them....
Anyway, yes I do have the lines for $56 shipped assembled and ready to go 99% of the time, and yes I am sometimes a little harder to get ahold of as I am a busy man. And yes, you may wait longer than 3 weeks if you happen to proceed to tell me how much the absolute cheapest place on the internet sells a part for. By me not responding is basicaly telling you that you have already found your source if you can link me to it.
Sorry if I sound harsh, but you did just say something about me that I felt I should defend/explain. No hard feelings? good.

I read this and just thought you had extra fittings, otherwise I wouldn't have asked about it alone. Where did you order them from then, so I can just order one myself?
