Every genuine pump I've seen says 'made in czech republic'. The 3 knock off 910's I've used said 'made in germany'. Other than that the pumps and fittings looked identical.
Whats the difference between the -044 and the 910???

I have seen the 910's around but I thought those flow less...am I wrong?

Ok...so I am thinking of scraping the dual pump setup since its complicated with extra relays and a pressure switch not to mention that I will still have knock off pumps...and going with this:

http://www.maperformance.com/fuelab-...to-1300hp.html

Apparently its pretty amazing, quieter than a -044 and it flows a bit under what two -044's will flow. It also comes with an internal speed controller that varies pump speed with a 0-5v signal which will save the fuel from getting overheated due to it circulating so much fuel while at idle and cruise. That and its brushless so no brushes to wear or burn out.

I read a few reviews on several different forums when I did a search in Google and I a sold on it....

Has anyone had any experience with this pump? it appears to be the next level for fuel systems...

Oh wow...I was about to place my order...now I am unsure, anyone else have any experience with these pumps, direct or through someone else?

What are my options for a single pump that flows at least 140gph....I would like to get away from the whole twin pump mess and run a fuel cooler if I need to to help with the fuel temps.

Thanks for the feedback!

Do you have any knowledge on the Fuelab?

What would you recommend for me if I want at least 500whp from one pump and I am currently running E85?

What about this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

Its supposed to be quiet and has enough flow for what I need.

Any thoughts.

Chris,

i don't have any answers for you re E85. given you need to run 2X it does complicate the situation fuelpump-wise.

i run 500 currently on one pump. the pump is 93 octane. and methanol. i make 500 rw w 850/1600s running at 72% duty cycle. of course i have another (Bosch 909) pump running two 700 cc injectors. straight methanol. nothing is as good as alcohol. you already know that.

fyi, i run a garden variety Cosmo Nippon Denso pump but i juice it w a Kenne Bell Boost A Pump. it provides a 0 to 50% V boost to my fuel pump under boost. i run it plus 20%.

maybe you could use the BAP to help you.

BTW, i have a number of friends in Plymouth.

I know they're expensive, but for a big pump the most reliable thing is probably a weldon..

I know is an old thread, just wanted to report that i had one of my 2 Bosch 044 fail. I run a dual Bosch 044 with e85. Filters pre and post pump. Took the pump out and applied 12v it runs if you hit it slightly. Bottom mesh looks clean. Czech republic made. I've had them for about a year and a half car was mostly for drag racing weekends.

044's aren't exactly compatible with e85's! it says lifespan is limited with e85 use. I forget how many hours, it was only a few hundred hours with e85.

500 hrs. But, as with anything, your mileage may vary.

Probably the worst thing you can do with E85 is drive it occasionally. When you let the fuel and the water it's brought along with it sit for relatively long periods of time, ferrous metal rusts. The same thing will happen with injectors that have ferrous metal internals even though the manufacturer says they're ethanol compatible.

So are there components in the aftermarket that will stand up to real world e85 usage? Seems pointless if you have to worry about rust when letting a vehicle sit up for weeks at a time.

Yes Walbro F90000267 is a 450lph ethanol friendly pump, for pump gas F90000262 both are 450lph intank pumps, both are much quieter than than the 255
