Simple question I was wondering? Are the O rings inside the turbo fuel resistant? For example If I wanted to clean my CHRA since I have a turbo that really greasy/ rusty, could I soak it in gas/diesel?

It's water cooled. I'm assuming there's rubber/ viton o rings in there somewhere.. Seals.. Whatever you will call it..

These bigger. O ring/ seals for example... I never took apart this turbo. It's a turbonetics t04e.. But I'm assuming these are in there and wondering if if they hold up to raw fuel...

Turbos don't have any o-rings that I know! The only time I have ever seen a o-ring is on the inside of the compressor wheel cover flange so it won't leak boost. Water cooled just has a path (in and out)going around the chra(internally) and has nothing to do with any of the moving parts.

You never want to soak o rings in gas or diesel. I'm sure it can take a little because some will be in the engine oil over time, but I would never soak it. If it does not want to come out, break it out and buy a new seal or rebuild kit

This picture is not my turbo. I'm not 100 percent it has this o ring. I'm just wondering if these are resistant to fuel in most turbos... I know regular o ring get ruined right quick in gas. That is the whole purpose of this question. Are these seals in turbos specifically resistant to fuel or is it totally dependant upon manufacturer? Tgabks
