Perhaps off a Japanese "K" car. They commonly turbo AWD now and with a 60PS (HP) limit they use small turbos for good response on their 600cc engines.

Should be cheap to find one used if you have a contact as the "K" cars are even more "throwaway" than the usual cars in the Japanese view...

a turbo for a 600cc engine i think will be way too big, The engine im using for the go cart is only 50cc. As far as dimensions go, it doesnt matter too much, I will be welding up headers to make it work and everything else too. The one in the picture looked like a pretty good size to me though. I would say somewhere it that region. If you could get me one, that would be awesome... Let me know. Thanks, Tim.

How about the site that you linked the image, http://www.mjmturbos.com/

They don't have it?

i emailed them about a week ago, and I havent gotten a response yet. There is nowhere on the site to place orders online or anything, or any prices listed for their products. I guess I'll try to give them a call or something.

If it is for a 2 stroke engine your wasteing your time IMHO.
why do you say that?

There are many problems with turbocharging a two stroke. The biggest being the lack of an oiling system to supply oil to the turbo.

well that seems easy to fix to me. or maybe i could fill the turbo with oil and then just cap the end. How necessary is it to recirculate the oil in such a small turbo, especially if im just driving around for a few minutes at a time.

a friend used a small turbo off of a K car to power his go kart and it was a 50 cc the biggest problem was converting the carb to run boosted, i suggested that he pressurise the fuel tank so that it saw the same pressure as the carb (it was blowing fuel back into the tank when it boosted and leaning out) it worked fine, all he did was mande a short tank (about 200 cc'c) that dripped onto the bearing, and got caught in a catch tank at the bottom.
