i would like some info about in comparrison to the t88 besides the name brand. Im looking for something in performance wise not specifications.

 

I've got on ..but haven't installed it as yet. Still looking for injectors and a bunch of other stuff...there are a few guys in here who have had them ..wonder where they are ?!?!

more power then the T-88. If you are going to put in a T-51r, just go with the T-51s and blow it up faster. The T-51s will give you a lot more *****, BUT BUTT LOADS OF TURBO LAG just like the R-kai

 

If you are interested in a t51r I would say pm soul assasin or another japanese forum member and see if you can get them to get you a BB model that is only sold there right now. As far as I know it's still not being sold in the states yet. If I were getting one I would want the BB model. If you do go with the t51r and want the ball bearing model, but don't feel safe having a forum member get it for you then you might try hks usa and see if they can get it.

I said to pm soul assasin because he's stationed in japan and I think coming back to the states sometime soon. Plus he has a t51r BB and was wanting to know if anyone else was interested in getting one before. But that was like 3+ months ago.

PowerAxel(sp?) also had one on his FD before I believe.

Soul Assasin has a T51S then, would that be the right letter designation?I know he has one and it's the ball bearing model. He bought it on yahoo auctions japan. Neither his sig or his site is updated but I remember him buying one and he's not running it on a HKS manifold either. If you look at the post here in the single turbo section titled: Looking for a t51r kai(crispeed??) you'll see someone mention someone with a T51S with a full bridge port in a FC, I believe that's soul assasin they're refering to.

 

To clear the air there are 2 different sizes of the T51R, there is the T51Rkai, and the T51RSPL, the SPL is the bigger one and I don't think anyone in a street car would ever need one, my friend has a T51Rkai and he's boosted it to 29psi and it's still efficient, and has more to go.

 

i've seen some dyno graphs that didn't show the T51 hitting full boost until 5k.....if you have the T88 why would you want something almost the same as what you have? Your not really going to find much better than the T88 IMO.

I got rid of my T88 because well,I'm nutty like that.....Not many people have the T51RKAI,I like to have dumb **** like that,that nobody has or not that many people have....

But to be honest I got the HKS T51-R-KAI because it sounds like a HARRIER JET !!!!
