I do have three kids, a wife and a business so I'll have to pass on that idea of travelling around the country, although it was an extremely good idea. I am however thinking of opening a business in the USA with another Aus Rotor specialist.
Give me your thoughts, is anyone interested.

I'd be interested in organizing a few cars for you to tune. Could you send me a email at SJWhite2000@aol.com and let me know what your rate is and maybe a estimate on cost to get you here.
I would really appreciate it. There is a local shop getting a dyno jet but in terms of the rotary, they know about as much as my wife (not much).
Thanks,

Good to let people know of their experiences, unsatisfactory or excellent. Maybe it will make these shops change the way customers are treated.
There maybe others out there with blown motors possibly due to XS maps. There was a thread by someone with a Black R1 that blew a motor too.

This is really scary stuff. It's bad enough when we blow our motors because we don't know what we are doing. But to have it blown by experts is really bad. I hope Dave at KDR does not blow mine up tuning my PFC. He's never tuned with water injection as far as I know.
I would never try to tune myself. I don't know enough.

I dont believe this....why was no one being vocal about the way xs was dealing with customers until recently? lol. My poor pocketbook!
i do agree that there is a market for dyno merceneries.
I would appreciate a service like that right now. if my motor is not toast (which Im betting it is) Ill see if I can help arrange a tuner to come down to LA, the cars gathered and the shop ready...I know of a new shop here that I bet would be happy to let us use their dyno. What the new shop needs is a good tuner to come in and demonstrate to their techs (in regards to the power fc). what I need is a person with patience and the experienced skillz to tune my machine. Im probably not the only one.
who are the best rx tuners that would be suited for this kind of thing? mr rodriguez do you have exp. with the apexi units?
How many cars needed? What's the cost? What would be fair numbers for a service like that?

Aside from all of the other "information" I'd personally like to know (like in a section in this forum) when a dyno is coming to town. In Raleigh, NC (the capital of the state of NASCAR) there is only one drive-up dyno (only going to be around for 2 days - June 7th and 8th at PM Racing). These guys are NOT RX-7 tuners, but they are going to make a butt load at $50 for 3 runs and no tuning. ->All the Hondas are going to come out of the woodwork.
I'll be across the country this week, so even if I was hungry for data, I couldn't go.
If someone does decide to travel and tune, put RTP (Research Triangle Park) on their list - I could guarantee at least a dozen cars.
SPOautos, I'd like to talk to you about building Cell towers as my company just invented a new RF transistor that will revolutionize the cellular industry - (going up against the 800 pound gorilla - MOT) and I would REALLY like to know what is in the latest basestations - I will be at MTT this week.

If anyone is interested, I am planning another trip to the US in the next month and willbe visiting LA, Orlando, Dallas and New Jersey. The most important thing to organise is a friendly Dyno equipped workshop in each town to work from. PM me if you are interested, I will see what we can do.
At home I tune Microtech, Motec, Haltec, Apexi, Ems and Autronics. If there is enough demmand for any others you can give me notice and I should be able to learn quickly. I also have good results with piston engines which may help when trying to get a group together.
I am not trying to do any big sales pitch but only trying to meet the demmand brought up on this thread.
SPOautos, I will be in touch, thanks-Anthony Rodrigues

Believe me, there is enough money and demand to make it worth someones time and effort. There are alot of people with enough mods to dyno 500rwhp and they are getting like 400 cause no one has a good rotary spacific shop to tune thier cars.
There are only a handfull of shops in the country that are worth a damn when it comes to making reliable power. There are people in every state that need those services and they cant afford to ship thier car accross the country for dyno time.
Somone needs to buy a mobile dyno and truck for $1600 and month and do dyno tours around the country. I promise you'll make alot of money.

Give me a destination and a number cars to tune and I'll be there!!! Typically, there're three parts of tuning in any maps. driveability, acceleration, and WOT. It can take anywhere from 2.5hrs-4hrs to tune each cars depending on the mods and maps. If the basic map is good enough, things can get alot easier. The thing is that each car reacts to mods differently so you can't just copy from someone's map and hope it works the same.
