yup.. Seems like alot of people are running S475's lately
I should have the exhaust and wastegates done this weekend and then just some other loose ends and it'll be running soon...

New 4inch exhaust all finished this weekend. At the rate we are moving this car should be dynoed in a week or two.

Just curious why you wouldn't crack the motor to clearance it for higher boost? The stock seals will be fine but when you crank the boost up, **** will start knockin into each other.

Did you ever experience this problem in the past with your old setups and if so at what hp? There isnt a lot of documented stories that I have found about pushing non pinned or clearanced engines. Not in the last couple years anyways since tuning has come a long way on these engines.

It doesn't have anything to do with tuning. Although the E85 will keep his charge temps cooler than most fuels, maybe cooler than the Q116. Even still there will be a point when rotors start smacking against things. This is when you will start seeing sideseals sticking. The apex seals will be fine, since warping probably won't happen because of the cooling factors of the E85.

and DJseven makes a good point. At what point will the stock motor gernade itself ? does anyone have any real proof besides just speculation that this and that will happen?
This motor will be dedicated to the cause of finding out roughly what the stock motor is capable of since nobody really knows.
I think i already proved 500+ is reliable with the stock motor. Is 600 safe? 650? what about 700? lol time will tell. hopefully we will have enough data to see exactly why it broke when it does.

Maybe on paper it does. My intake temps were in the danger zone on several occasions. At the track me and AnthonyNYC had the same dangerous temps and he was using C16 so E85 didnt benefit me in that area. Maybe i still need some kind of water\meth injection.

Ernie I have my street ported motor on the side that is clearenced, balanced, pinned with all the goodies etc and maybe 3mm seals.

I just dont want to see you trash a nice turbo. Yes 500+ is relaible with a stock motor. I did it 5years ago running high 10's all day in my other FD. Ari made 600 on a stock motor, but once your hp goes high enough, your motor WILL start to flex if its not clearanced. Just tryin to help from experience. After 620-630rwhp is when I started running to the apex seal sticking in the rotor, this was caused from the e-shaft flex along with the rotor housings. You will run into this problem. You will be doing a dyno pull, you'll feel it start to misfie and when it comes back down to an idle it will idle as if it had a broken apex seal, free rev the engine a few time and everything will go back to normal.

took a few pics today of the Vband 4" exhaust and the custom koyo lol. wastgates are done all thats left is the dump tubes and she can come off the lift. I'll take some better pics this weekend once everything is installed.
