aem tru boost or turbosmart eboost street

I'm looking to get a boost controller and I am having trouble deciding between aem tru boost or turbosmart eboost street. I get a good deal on these brands, so I am deciding which one I should get. Anyone have either of these?

I like that the aem one is a gauge even though I already have a gauge. I didn't do any research on the aem yet, but from what I saw for the turbosmart unit, it was very simple.

I will not be using different boost levels after my tuning is done

The AEM Tru Boost is a purely open loop boost controller. If that means nothing to you, then go ahead and get it.

Also, check out my boost controller comparison thread: https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...-chart-952767/

I don't want the ebc to work only in open loop. Is there any way to know if a boost controller will only work in open loop? I'm leaning towards the e boost street unless it only works in open loop also.

If it doesn't have a "gain" or "response" or "sensitivity" type of setting, it's open loop only. In reality, only the AEM Tru Boost and certain ebay brands could be considered open loop only.

On the other hand, lots of inexperienced people get confused by the gain settings for the feedback control and actually have more boost problems from it.

Ahhhh, I'll have to do more research and see. Maybe I'll save and fork out the money for a nicer unit or possibley not run one at all
