FL added h.p. per pound of boost?

I was watching a show with some turbo/super charger guy ( might have been Roots) and he said a rule of thumb is 7 percent more power for every pound of boost. Does anybody have conformation on this. My '95 makes 350whp at 11 pounds and theoretically would make 490 whp at 16 pounds. I'm sure I'd need to pump more fuel too it.

Its NOT going to be linear. It depends highly on your turbo's efficiency and flow verses pressure ratios. Look at compressor maps for a clearer picture of how it works. Adding more boost doesn't always equate to more power, its just not that simple.

^^Yup... Different turbos will make different amounts of power as you increase the boost depending on the compressor. Not to mention each motor will also respond differently. If it were only as simple as this show is claiming.....
