Adapter needed to connect turbo inlet oil line. Where? who?
I went to a local speed shop to get an inverted flared metric adapter to AN 4 and no luck. They looked thru their catalogs of earl's, russel, and auroequip and nothing.
Where can I find this thing. I'm try to put my turbo on and this is the last thing tha's holding me up. I have a line with male an ends and the side goign to the stock oil line from the block is the problem.

But anyways, I made one because I knew how much of a PITA it would be to find one. Just hacked off the tube that was on there and TIG welded on a male -4 jic fitting. Yeah I know it's a little rusty, been sitting in my garage for a few months

15.117-4-4 or 15.063-6-6 will screw into front oil feed hole in front plate and adapt to 37deg 1/4 flare(JIC). you then 2 of the -4 an flare to hose 90 deg fittings..
aeroquip # fcm1031
The fitting to to turbo would then use fcm2002 to leave you with 1/4 npt to screw into the turbo if its threaded, or into a 2 bolt flange if its not threaded..
The hose for the above is FBA0400 which is the AQP aeroquip auto performance 1/4 hose..Max

Maxthe7man: good info but it can be simplified with one fitting that screws into the block and has a -4an fitting already on......i hope i didn't read wrong. You were saying a fitting that screws in......then an adapter.......then the hose fitting? If so i have a fitting that screws in with the -4an already on.....then just put the 90 deg. hose fitting on and call it a day.
I should have the part # by Wed. when all my fittings come in. I'm making some oil feed lines to sell out of Earls fittings and hose......but i can give out the part # to people who want it.

Silvr94r2, using aeromtive fittings its 4 fittings for the whole line, other manufacturers may give you more choice, however with the aeromotive fittings being screwed collar and ferule, its nice to have the extra fittings to act as a union in order to get it apart, especially if your turbo has a 2 bolt flange instead of 1/4 npt inlet, the aeromotive stuff is good to 1500 psi to boot..
I know earls and russel makes a 90 metric adapter to -4an jic, however NOBODY had one in stock or warehoused, so the aeromotive became the way, I could'nt find the pretty AQP silver braid hose here though, I had to settle for this crappy cloth black stuff..
Some of the FD guys were talking about running a restrictor as well in the oil line, I am not sure if this is an issue with the FC 13bt as well, my turbo does not smoke from excess oiling(to4e 13bt), so I am assuming its ok, however I plan on doing a timed oil feed test on it this weekend to see how many Gpm's are fed to the turbo at idle..Max

Maxthe7man: i found mine in one of the strangest places.....it is actually made for another cars brake system. It is rated for high psi and it's SS. I stumbled across it just like my adapter for my T88. I wanted to get rid of the banjo but could not find a M10x1.25 to
-4an adapter. Low and behold.....i found it in the braking system for another car. It's funny how many adapters i've had to search high and low for! It seems our cars don't have normal fittings in the right spots I'm really happy that i've finally got all them together and ready to go.
I understand what you were saying about the unions and making it easier to take apart. I just didn't know if you would like it the other way. If you would, let me know sometime and i'll get you the part # or i can sell it to you. I have a bunch now.....

Another way...
You can use an inverted flare fitting (maybe from brakes) by Earl's that fits the swivel end of the oil feed pipe and -6AN male ($18.00) on the other end.
Get a -6AN female to -4AN male reducer ($8 plus tax).
