Abundant oil smoke at startup...

sorry for being such a newb...

is this normal w/ a singe turbo FD3??

i purchased the car w/ the work already done to it...i'm not gonna lie, and i'm not too familiar w/ rotary's...

thanx for your help in advance??

I guess it depends on your definition of abundant. It's certainly not rare to see oil when you start a rotory, especially if the cats are removed. Not that it's a good thing, but it's definitely not rare. If it's just a haze around the car and it clears up once the car is warm, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

If you're new to rotories, read up on this forum as much as possible, especially in the 3rd Gen and 3rd Gen Archive section. These cars are very different than piston equivalents. Be sure to keep a CLOSE eye on your oil and coolant levels!!!!
