680HP@20PSI with 550/1600?

I may not be a motor builder but this setup with a street port and T78 is claimed to make this type of power? Only a 255GPH pump too?
After reading all these years on members setups this doesnt seem possible in this configuration.
Its in MODIFIED MAG.page 94 for Sept. Guy is from Jersey.
Is this publication hype.....cause many of us have a better setup and dont claim 680 @ 20.
BTW....what would it take to support 680?Even at the fly.
Name of owner with held but it is published in the article.Got to be a member here.

Not possible, have 720/1680, and ~high 500s is absolute max at ~12.0:1 Thats over 95% DC. I have three times the pump. That pump falls on its face at ~500rwhp Max. You know my set-up, and it will in no way do high 600whp. Carl

It is BS. There's not enough injector or fuel pump volume to support that kind of power.

good luck... 680hp is alot of power!!! and not possible with that kind of fuel. According to some calculations ive seen a rotary with the best of everything (fuel ect.) will max out just under 400hp per rotor.

First off...the pump could not support that kind of power, and second...the only way he is making that power is with a Tri rotor

I don't even think you can make that much power with a T78 on a 20b. And that fuel pump runs out of steam at 500hp like everyone has stated before.

You can tell the editors that your car puts out 11 trillion fwh and they'll print it. He lied.... get over it.

And yes, that hp can be achieved on a 2 rotor.

yea, a T78 can flow well over 700hp. if it can push 6 cylinder engines to 1000hp i'm sure it can push a rotary to almost 700. ofcourse supporting mods in effect on most piston setups.. 20 - 22 psi will yield 650 rwhp from a t78. so yea, this guy is definately BS.

The guys name is Jeff. He is a local. He is not a member of this board. I also believe his ***** are already swollen from all the ball breakin he has recieved over that number and the last sentance in the article....
Erik is right, you can tell them anything and they will print it. I think they alos make some stuff up. Article says he has a profec when the pics clearly show an avc-r...

The care is nice, but absolutly does not make that power. I have seen that car go its entire life from one stage to the next and trade so many local hands. Actualy my car and the "original" car (in the pics) were stolen together many many moons ago. Sad night.... God, that must have been six or seven years ago now...

I have seen where the Mags will add the stated power of a NO2 shot to the dyno. So you have a 400hp graph, put a bottle in the car, tell them it's a 200 shott, viola, 600hp RX LOL.

YEAH IF HE SHIFT MAD QUICK YO!. BUNCH OF BS espically @ 20psi. Just to be on a magazine. everyone who will read that that has a 7 will know whats up. besides the fuel cant support that much power (more liek 3 fuel pumps)no matter what. unless he had a 20b there would be a possibility

It would be possible on methanol but once again the fuel system isn't up to par for that...
