62-1 turbo failure

The failing turbo could've caused engine damage.
Notice the scarring of the inlet near the compressor wheel.

Luckily, my engine is still running and feels fine. I haven't done a compression check lately.

Wow, that sucks man. I'd imagine if something would have broke off it would get traped in the IC. Who build the turbo? You have alot of miles on it? How much boost you running?

Looks like Turbonetics built it...the "T" on the bottom left kind of gave it away

Turbonetics.

It has a good amount of miles. I'm not sure what could've caused the failure since it was from the previous owner. I know the previous owner blew the engine and maybe pieces of the apex seal hit the turbine wheel enough times to knock it off alignment (along with whatever problems he may have encountered).

I'm just glad my engine is running strong right now.
