62-1 turbo

Hi..

I know the power potential of this turbo, i dont need hp figures or spool times or anything else.. I was reading threads on here that the 62-1 has issues towards efficency and reliability, i will be running 15-18 psi. Im thinking about buying this turbo to replace the ts04, how is this turbo? I will either go with turbonetics 62-1 or a t04s with a 60-1 wheel.

Thanks

I had a 60-1 on my buggy and it worked great. 62-1 is only slightly larger so it should work good. You'll be starting to max that thing out @20 psi.

I just finished some research on more turbos, first time i looked at innovative. I wouldnt mind getting a dual bb turbo. my goal is 15-18psi, around 380-420rwhp. i have a mild streetport. i need something mainly for the street and good spool times and boost that can hold to redline.. im new to innovative, i know more about the general garrett t04s or t04e, turbonetics 60-1 and i know what the garret t3/t4 gt35/40bb can do.Innovative gt series is new to me.. if someone can recommend me a turbo. I dont even know where to start looking, all i know is the gtb series are way to big and i would consider something from street heat, gts or gt series i pmed greg already but no reply yet.. can you guys give me some ideas? something to compare to is a t04s with 62-1 wheel. 1.00 or .84 a/r divided tangential ex housing, .70 comp a/r housing, p trim wheel.

Thanks

My car makes around 405 rwhp at 14 PSI with the following:

1.00 A/R
P trim
60-1
T04S compressor cover (4 inch inlet)

CALL INNOVATIVE. Stop trying to find the turbo on the net if your looking for a Innovative turbo unit. Their turbo's are Garrett based so any Garrett compressor and housings can be used. They do have their own propietary turbo components as well. your NOT going to find a Innovative turbo name on the net or through their street heat line for your application. Call them and they will build it for you.
