607whp @ only 22 psi 13brew half bridge gtx42

Wanted to share some dyno results@ lucky7racings Dynojet, on a rx8 I built and tuned using a GTX4202r turbo 1.15ar housing on a small halfbridge rew on adaptronic.

Boost control, flex fuel sensor is controlled through adaptronic. I am not using auto tune features.

13brew is mounted using Banzai racing mount kit and low profile oil pan.

RA super seals, Turblown studs, stock fd rotors, stock crank shaft, everything else stock engine beside the small half bridge.

At 18-19psi we are making consistent 560-580whp, at 22psi 600+ with over 50+ pulls on the dyno on E68 (68% ethanol/91 octane) flex fuel sensor
I tried raising the boost but anything after 22 psi the spark would blow out. Upgrading to AEM coils next then we will be back on the dyno with 25+ psi shooting for 700+

Nice setup.

So is that something like 550ish rwhp on a dyno dynamics?

What ignition are you using now? You would have to be tempted to go to CDI for an ethanol car if long term aim is over 2 bar boost?

That's a way to big turbo, the power comes on so late.

I have a 13b-rew BP with a GT4094R and hit 615 at the crank on 19 psi, on a Dynapack. And i have almost 550hp at 5000 rpm.

I would have considerd going for a smaller turbo to get the boost up abit faster and run higher boost. Or are you after the way high HP numbers?

Actually you have more like 380hp at 5000rpm and your power curve is steep as hell.
Your dyno graph actually looks so jumpy I would take it with a grain of salt. Jumpy cars on Dyno's dont give accurate power figures.

He's still doing a lot better in terms of matching the turbo to the power output... Target boost reached at 4,600rpm versus 7,000rpm.

You do realize that is because of the scaling of the graph right? If you take that data and overlay it on the same scale as the dynojet it makes it look a LOT smoother.

That being said, OP I think you got too big of a turbo, that was my opinion even before it went on the car when I saw it on Facebook. Not hitting 20PSI until 7,000RPM would annoy the hell out of me lol. Could have tried an EFR 9180 for less money.

Nice peak numbers though I guess.

OP is going for well north of 700rwhp guys. I believe this car had spark blow out issue so they could not raise the boost anymore

Nice power. Would a semi pp helps the spool?
