600+ hp
Does anyone here have a setup on a 13b that runs over 600hp? If so can you post what your setup is. I'm really lookin for specifics here. Also if you could say how much boost you're running.

Yeah, sorry........... I guess I should have posted a link to the other thread

Just tie a chain to his rear axle and I am sure you will win, hell you could race him with a big wheel at that point. Would be alot cheaper than making 600 hp on a 2rotor, and getting it to hook, and not break the driveline.
don't forget the right gearing with a ford 9". You do this with what some have suggested and you should be good. Of course you'll spend a few thousand dollars, and when I say a few I actually mean quite a few thousand dollars.
There are always TOO mant nay sayers on here !!! , I have seen a 550BHP 7 destroy an 800+ Supra and skyline , its been done before ! Its not just about the numbers , but the whole package .For starters for the motor you should have a decent sized turbo , like a GT42 , a nice "big" race port , a modified highflowed intake , or aftermarket race intake. The motor should be built for revs (dowelling or stud kit , race clearancing and oiling mods , for my motor I'm throwing in a 2 piece e shaft to make it bullet proof along with everything else to make it bulletproof !) Stand alone ECU , all the fuel it can take and then some and a capable ignition system .
HP to Weight Ratio...I am sure that S-10 truck hardly weighs anything since its setup for drag racing and if its comparable to your RX7's weight, which I am guess its probably lighter, you are going to have to make more power then 600. That is why a lighter car with less hp like a RX7 can beat a heavier car with more power like a Supra. Put it into perspective...Peter Farrell ran 9.90's with about 560 whp and weighed about 2200-2300 lbs. Ray Wilson made 670 whp and ran 9.80's and weighed 2950 lbs with driver. Both are experienced drag racers. That is the best comparison to think about when trying to project what is needed.
