NC 508hp/365ft-lbs@18psi, 67mm gtx4294

What's up fellas, just posting my dyno numbers from last night. I ordered a Garrett gtx4294 67mm version which was recommend by Sean at A-Spec tuning. I got it installed finally after waiting on some exhaust parts. W

ell I put it on the dyno last night. It made 508hp and 365ft-lbs.@18psi. This turbo rocks out. Very responsive and it is wanting flow. I have some boost creep issues and didn't want to even mess with the Eboost2. So these runs were all supposedly on my wastegate spring which is 1 bar. Never hit 1 bar. It would spike to 18psi and drop to 17.0-17.5

Car is running 93 pump gas and meth injection using boost juice.. on the street its a uncaged animal. Really wish this was the very first turbo I ever bought. Once I get my boost issues under control I will turn it up to 20 and 25 psi.

Good job man. What's that turbo rated at lb wise?

Forget 20-25psi, race gas and 35 +psi and it will wake up!

yea i agree 30 psi and higher is where a 67mm and bigger turbo shines. I turned mine up to 35 psi a few weeks ago and about shat myself spinning tires in 5th gear. I turned it down so i dont die lol.
Sk8world hows your car doing?

Everything is good, just haven't had time for much drag racing. I plan to hit the 1/4 mile track in the next week or 2. Trying to decide on my next turbo. Want to try bw stuff but not sure if I will be happy with a 67mm unit or should I go with a s475 sized one.

What manifold you running? I had the same issue when mine was tuned. Pump gas on gate it creeped bad. I believe it was on 1bar spring, a-spec mani, it went close to 18-20 psi and was on it's way to 500+ but ray just shut it down and moved on to race gas map.

I found the comp map on the gtx4294. It's 95lb area. So would be neat to see how a 67mm 400sx compares.

We were under 8k for the rpms. This turbo hits hard and u can feel it never wanting to stop pulling. I'm so impressed. Cant wait to turn it up. Here is a after dyno vid of the car on the street for the first time. Like the driver said I could hook 2nd gear at 25psi on my old setup cause it was more gradual power. And I have 335's in the rear. Well now its like I'm on skates. I have a whole new admiration and respect for the car now. Lol.

Ive had the same problem with my last 3 67mm turbos all on different manifolds. boost with a 1 bar spring stays at a consistent 18psi which i dont mind at all

Ok cool. I don't like not being able to run my 1 bar wastegate pressure. But it is fun tho. Lol. Im running the aquamist water/meth kit. On it takes about 30hp away. I didn't tune for the meth. We tuned pump gas with a range of 11.0-11.5, then once that was clean I just turned the meth on for safety.

Wanna thank all the people involved.

Rotorsports Racing for building the car and maintaining it for all these years. All my buddies who turned a wrench and helped my push, pull, and jump start it when it broke down. Ahahahaha. And all you forum guys for the encouragement and knowledge to throw every last dollar I have at this car for the enjoyment of a 2nd to 4th gear highway pull. Lol.
