Viper,

JD is right, but I'm not sure the difference in trim amounts to any measurable real world difference to you. One is a 56 trim and one is a 52 trim. At 20psi, the difference in efficiency between them is 1%. The trim has no effect on the ratio of the major diameters of the comp. and turbine. Because of the more ideal wheel ratio of the gt4294r compared to the gt4094r, it will spool just as fast as the gt4094r, and you'll have less backpressure and run cooler and make more power with less boost.

My car is currently at PFSupercars right now, and I'm shooting for around 530hp on pump and Ray said it's very possible with my mods with water/meth. Hell, I might even get more, I'll let you know once I get it back and break in the motor and go back for the final pump tune/race gas tune.

EDIT: And it's going to be my daily driver, except I'll only be running 15-16psi since I have a 15lb wastegate spring daily, and raise it up when I want too.

If anything fuel blends may have improved with the introduction of Ethanol.
Since I started using BP-93 with 10% Ethanol my knock numbers under boost are much lower compared to Exxon/Mobil or Sunoco back years ago.

Chris achieved that goal then and I'm sure he could achieve it today with less effort. Don't see any new fuel blends presenting a problem.

It's a guess on my part about the fuel blends. I don't know honestly if they've changed but I've suspected that they'd get ever-so-steadily worse over time due to the EPA guys putting possibly stricter and stricter restrictions on things. Maybe it's just my pessimism doing my thinking for me.

He says its an unreliable motor with an unreliable band aid in having Alcohol injection which itself has often been very unreliable in his vast experience with AI kits on EVO's. He's telling me to 'just stuff a chevy V8 in it' which makes me cringe just thinking about it...i wouldn't even be remotely interested in a chevy-mazda rx7 mutt.

Comments and rebutts on my concerns are highly appreciated.
Now that is funny, tell your friend thanks for the amusement. Talk to Ray at PFS he is right by you and can more than show you what want.

I agree one hundred percent! I think you'll be better off running a 4294R on either a nice TiAL housing or the T6 I haven't been too big on the T4 frame on the 42R's 4094's are nice for packaging but that's the only benefit over a straight 42R.

650+ RWHP RX2 on pump and WI

Copied from the NRS thread, will likely post in the AI section as well:

Here is some VBOX data on Jake's Capella taken from Ausrotary including Pete's comments and a link to the thread. This car made 3 runs in the finals at summernats making 563 RWHP, 582 RWHP and 588 RWHP respectively. This was done on a Dyno Dynamics so for Dynojet the figures would be approx 647 RWHP, 670 RWHP and 676 RWHP respectively. Done on NRS 3mm 1pc

DEFINITELY READ THIS THREAD FOR THE FULL STORY ON THIS CAR Pgs 5 - 6
Also a pile of info, links etc for the Racelogic VBOX. Any questions you have for Pete you can ask them here:

**note waving rpm line is due to wheel spin/slip** and struggling for traction, but still enough to out accelerate a Pagani Zonda

OR every single body panel will fly off, and the street tires will explode :!: (more like it LOL)
