500rwhp building help needed!! Pics ..

Okay, first of, I new to this forum but have sold couple of parts on here. Right now I'm in the processing of building a weekend/strip machine with a goal of 500rwhp. I have most of the parts here and still gathering some to complete the set up. I can use all the help and pointers I could get and advices from experts on this forum. I've been a rotary fan for years (I'm 32) but now really getting in deeper and now with more funds I can support the hobby. Okay let's start with what I've got so far:

-92 S5 JDM Large full bridge port with brand new housings, S5 '91 high compression race rotors, 1 piece carbon Apex seals, deep groove race bearings, pretty much everything brand new. 0 miles on the motor.
-HKS/Garrett T04e .60/.70, HKS cast manifold & wastegate.(all with be polished)
-ORC twin disk clutch and Power FC.
-850 primaries/1600 secondaries injectors (no fuel pump yet).
-HKS Twin Power coil
-Greddy front mount/piping and HKS SSQ BOV
-5zigen Pro Racer A Spec 3" cat-back (for sale section).

That's all what I've got so far and now I have some questions and help needed :

1 Is the turbo big enough for the port and will I achieve my goal with it?
2. What size/brand fuel pump needed for this set up?
3. Do I need to modify the throttle body/intake manifold?
4. Will the Turbo II tranny be able to hold the power?
5. How much in your opinion, this motor is worth?

That's all for now and thank you in advance for all the help and advices. Please fill me in and speak you mind cuz I'm all ears.

My $0.02

The carbon apex seal is a big mistake. This apex seal is for N/A racing application.

1. Not optimal turbo for bridge port and your goal. It is for 300+ hp I think.
2. Dual walbro 255 liters per hour high pressure. It is a cheap and good setup.
3. No.
4. Yes, but depends on driving style.
5. What did you mean? You want to buy or make by your own hands?

If you're only looking for 500hp, then you shouldve went with a large streetport
(unless you plan on making over 500 later down the road), and get rid of to4e and go with a 35R. 2 walbro pumps. and get rid of those seals and get 2mm seals.

Yea I Don't know if the To4E is going to do it but your spool is going to ridiculously fast!

1.Hell No!, T04e way too small, T78,T04R,T04Z,GT40 etc are the turbos to go for.
2.Bosch 044 with swirl pot or twin pumps in tank as been sugested before
3.Nope
4.Circuit driving be ok, on the drag strip might not last too long.
5.Sounds like you have a NA spec motor not a Turbo motor as you need low comp rotors for turbo charging plus Carbon seals are only for NA, you Mazda steel seals or Atkins,Hurley,RA etc

PM me if you want to buy my dual pump set up.

I agree, you need a better (bigger) turbo.

1. Unfortunately, no. A TO4E-60 is not big enough. It'll get to about 75-80% of your goal but will not reach 500rwhp.
2. A Toyota Supra Nippon-Denso pump is a popular choice although some people are eyeballing the Bosche 044 pump lately.
3. No.
4. Absolutely!
5. I have no idea but worth a bit considering the work and parts.

Thank you very much for fast and helpful replies. I will be changing out the turbo for another larger one. Also, I will double check with my builder to make sure that the info on the motor is correct as I requested for low compression rotors and Mazda 2 mm seals.

Update: I just found out that I DO NOT have the carbon seals, instead they're 2 piece (Apex & corner)racing seals. As far as the rotors, they're not the GTU's.

1. Would other T4 turbos fit the HKS cast manifold?

Thank you guys for all inputs!!! This forum ******* ROCKS!!!!

Yes, any T4 turbos will fit on the T4 cast manifold, but it will have to be a collective turbo, not divided. If you want to go divided you will need a new turbo manifold. What size wastegate do you have also btw?

Hope that helps.

(P.S. That engine looks amazing!)

Why are you running high compression rotors?

I double check and I'm running '91 turbo II rotors, NOT high compression. Right now I'm just trying to gather all the info that I could before I spend out more more money. I like doing things right the first time!!! Thanks you guys for all the help.

its not a bad idea using carbon seals on a high hp engine for engine-dyno tuning.

when the seal breaks, it generally will not do much damage (if any). they tend to shatter into very small parts.. you'd typically tune the engine, open it up (check for correct wear, mistakes,etc) and rebuild with the seal of your choice;
