I have a sneaking feeling that the af61R will make the 60-1 obsolete, along with the gt35r. It's already matched the S power average @15 on the "inferior" 13bt. it has hit 23 psi at 3700rpm. It has spooled 15 by 4k through a tII factory cat. The turbo costs a fraction of any GT orf precision turbo.

Dyno tuning at 20+ will be posted soon.

oh, and REted, can't yopu read? He sites XS ENGINEERING as the manufactuer in the first post.

yeah... thats the standard spring on the greddy type R bov, and the spring all the way out... i think the dyno didnt give load on deceleration, so i wasnt creating enough vaccuum to open the bov. on the highway runs on the way home, i heard big woooosh sounds after i let off the gas, although i sometimes still heard a few flutters after the bov openned

also, check the nut under the adjustment screw. . . i ended up having to put an o-ring under that washer just to get it to stop leaking. . . thats ALL the problem i had. i think its funny that they dont do this ANYWAYS. . . man, my hks wastegate even had the same problem. had to put viton seals up and down the shaft and then at the adjustment screw JUST to get it to stop boosting to 20psi on the stock spring. . . geh. . . quality parts right???

Steve will have to chime in for the afr’s but if I remember seeing the wideband it was 11.2-or so. (with the race gas we could have went leaner, but my haltech keeps getting shaky boost readings (the boost gauge on the dyno was steady, and my crapomeeter gauges is off in all accounts) But since the we couldn’t get the map sensor to give us a steady reading we decided not to go leaner until that issue was resolved.
358 RWHP is exactly what I was seeing when I dynoed my 60-1 at the same boost level.

I have always felt that my MAP sensor has given me "shaky" readings. While under full boost (14 psi) the MAP sensor/E6K will display boost readings anywhere from 10 to 16 psi according to my datalogs. I have talked to several people about it they just tell me that the ECU samples extremely fast and it is more accurate than my boost gauge (which holds steady at 14 PSI while under WOT). I would like to see one of your data logs to see how much your boost varies according to the map sensor. This is something that has always scared me when tuning. I had my map sensor checked out and it seems to be working properly (the voltage readings were holding steady as a given pressure was applied to it)

the dyno pack is an eddy-current setup so basically, we tell the dyno that we wanted to record the hp from 3k - 7.5k rpm. When I get on it, it'll goto a little over 3krpm and then it'll load up and brings the rpm down to the set value (3krpm). Once it sets to 3krpm, it'll hold it for 2 secs and slowly allowing the engine to rev to the max recorded rpm (7.5krpm) and will hold there until I let off the gas.

its pretty neat stuff but i think it creates too much load at max rpm though.

I'm sorry but 13.22 quarter mile with 420 whp? You buddy, can't drive for ****.
I'm not a real good drive but I did 12.7 on stock turbos (14psi, 335whp).

LMAO,

Wouldn’t say that I can’t drive, just can’t get the power to the ground. The 18psi run was made on the tune for pump gas but running C12 which probably shaved off a few hp. Also you would notice the 2.6 60’ in the sig. The car spun the tires through all of first all of second and about 2seconds of 3rd. (kind of hard to run a good et without traction for half the track)
These passes were made prior to this tune, car was street tuned last time, and I was having fuel press issues so it was even richer, definitely was not laying down 420 on that run.

It was far from a good run, it was my 3rd run on this setup @ the track, and lifting to get it to hook up was not an option b/c as soon as I get back on the gas they start spinning again. Don’t worry shees going in Friday for axles, diff, gears, and some slicks for next Thursday.

What mph was your 12.7 @, 60’ time also

i know for a fact that the o ring is no longer there.... so could that be the cause of my problems?

and the diaphram seems to look alright when i replaced the spring, ill inspect it again though.

the bov does open when i boosted on the streets though... (of course there are a few flutters of compressor surge after the sneeze sound)
