Hi Ralph...
Few possibilities for that kinda rattling noise...
At that power level the E-shaft may have flexed and few things could have hapenned......
wiped a rotor bearing loosing it
crushed an apex seal so far in that it flaten the spring leaving it with no tension.
Cracked a a seal down the middle and as it passes over the exhaust port it hits the port ceiling pushing back in.
I'm assuming rotors were clearanced since you're spinning 9krpm. Just open her up and avoid running it anymore.....minimize any possible damage.
Let's us know the outcome and good luck.....
PM'd you

Sub zero, I run 11:1 at 1.8 bar = 85%dc @ 42psi base press. I was out checking why I was breaking the ceramic in 11.5 plugs in thr rear leading on christmas day I monitord the dc@2.2bar = 100% so its out of fuel!!!!. I am going to try going to base fuel press of 65psi nextime, that should get me where I want to be. To me the car is scary fast @32psi,
but at the same time a blast to drive. My son took it for a ride the other day and @ 115mph it was wheeel hopping at a slight angle so he hit fourth gear and @ 120plus same happened so he said holy Shi!!! enough!
Once we have gone from 26-28psi to 32ppsi the car came Alive, never go back. Fuel pump Magnaflow EFI600 -10 lines feed -8 return.

I am redoing my whole fuel system now to comp with the new power, -10 feed, twin 044 Bosch pumps, SX reg, and 4 X 160lb/hr injectors are the "main bits" I seriously cant wait anymore, its been too long

Hey rice. I was talking to crispeed and he just did a car with 9:7 rotors running 26 lbs boost on a fc. He said it hauled ***!! street!
What is the factory compression on a FD?anybody. I am thinking of going higher compression rotors, which should help spool and idle quality with rich primary injectors what do you think.
BTW A shop that I work with ASSC Racing tested pumps and found the 967 out performs the 044. They are running twins in 800hp street v8s.
The magazine was Decembers BANZAI. Thx

Crispeed said 116 and I have been running 112 but had started to go to 10.5:1 from 11:1 when I found out my duty cycle was 100% @ 2bar and above. I have been running 28psi for a year on the street and had no problems because at 1.9 bar dc was 88% and af 10.8 11:1. I couldnt beleive the difference in fuel needs from 28-32 psi, the strangest part is my wideband did not pick up what was happening when @ 100%duty cycle. Plus going 100+ mph sideways watching a wideband is pretty difficult!!

89-91 turbo II as well as 93-95 FDs all ran 9.0:1 compression rotors.
9.7:1 came from 89-91 NA RX7s.
I also ran ~25psi on my TurboII back years ago with 9.4:1 rotors and 116 octane.

Anyone remember the Blitz drag car? It was running 29psi on a KWarner (I believe) on the stock apex seals, Mazda OEM.
Sevenin7, yes, Ianetti ceramics. AFIK, they're the only ceramics worth running.
