The 8374 vs the 6262 response was interesting and did seem drastic, but the 12 psi mark felt like it wasn't quite reflective of what I would be doing. On the one hand I'm really appreciative of the businesses that share their findings, but also skeptical at the same time of how the info might be presented in a way that might mislead someone who doesn't have the broadest of knowledge on the subject (like me) into seeing something being larger, more beneficial, than they are. I feel like I'm learning, but I'm not sure I'm comprehending it properly if that makes sense. Perhaps random forum members aren't the best place to seek advice, but I think this forum's is quite exceptional and intelligent in areas that I lack and has a hell of a lot more practical experience.

This should illustrate the gains EFR turbos are showing on a rotary.

This is what I was referring to regarding the EFR spool on a rotary.

The brown line is torque of a tiny turbo for auto-x we all went nuts over for its low end power.

Blue line is a very good example of GT35R torque on a rotary.

Red is 8374 torque on a rotary.

The 9180 has a very slightly lower surge line than the 8374 which was experiencing slight surge, meaning if you can get the 9180 spooled as fast as the 8374 (cough, bridgeport) it will make more low end power as well as more power everywhere else.

The EFR 7670 could be directly compared to the GT35R (3574) in terms of size, but its surge line is much much lower than the 8374 which is already pooping all over the 35R low end torque.

Sorry, this is incorrect. I repeated what someone wrote, but looking at the compressor maps the 9180 follows normal physics and the larger compressor has a higher surge line.

The 9180 surge line is far to the Left (low) in the low pressure ratios though.

I saw the BW technical drawings show the 9180 as having 3.5" inlet compressor housing and the 8374 having 4" inlet compressor housing.
