12a Big Bridge Turbo Questions

Hey guys, noticed a lot of 13b stuff, but hardly any 12a turbo things. Anyways, I am trying to find a Turbo for a 12a Big bridge. External wastegate, and a 40mm Tial BOV. Looking to make about 400hp in an 1983 RX7.

I am leaning towards the Gt35, as it can make the power at little boost. Not looking at having to boost 15+PSI, if I do about 10-12 I think I should be golden. Would a .85 compressor and 1.08 turbine be sufficient?

Carburetor. 48IDA, to be specific. I found that the IDA are better for a turbo application than my 48DCOE.

the 35R isnt offered with a 1.08 turbine housing and the compressor housing is .70. as far as enough to make the power, 15 psi is usually where streetported 13b's see 375-400whp on that turbo. i would say you are going to have to run a little more boost since its a 12a etc. im just going based on 13b experience as the only 12a stuff i have ever messed with was NA. good luck

We offer them in 1.06 T4's, maybe that is what he is referring to.

Well, generally looking for any turbo to make 400whp on a bridged 12a motor, running 93. Will probably go WI down the road. Also will be running a W/A intercooler with a Chevrolet Astro condensor as radiator

You wont make 400rwhp with any turbo on a 12a with that sort of boost level. It will have to be 15+psi.

I made 395rwhp on 14psi but it was with a TA45 and a whole lot of lag. Not a good street turbo at all.
