New RX6 going in. After carefully reviewing the vacuum diagram I realized that with the ACV and EGR eliminated there is no need for ANY solenoid valves at all, is this correct? Can the rats nest be COMPLETELY removed??
The other question is after the single conversion, do I still have any need for the pressure and vacuum chambers?

If you removed everything, you can yank out the rats nest completely. I assume you removed everything and put on block off plates? No need for the vacuum chambers. When done you will only have 6 or 7 vacuum lines.

Thanks for the reply, but after re-examining the diagram I only found 5
1. Purge control solenoid
2. BOV
3. Map sensor
4. Turbo control (waste gate)
5. The line going to the oil filler neck

What am I missing? (I don't have double throttle either)

2. BOV
3. Map Sensor
4. Turbo control
5. Oil filler neck
6. Boost gauge

That's a nice vacuum diagram and it certailnly explains a lot. But here's what baffles me, the solenoids are gone that's nice, but what do people do with the empty connectors? Leave them empty, cut them off, attach load resistors?? What do people usually do with them?

I have the pfc
so what I did was cut each wire as close as possible to teh main harness. The on each individual wire I put on heatshrink and melted it on. Then after all the wires were done I wrapped it tight against the harness with electrical tape. You cant even tell anything was ever there its awesome.

Trex...didn't you just buy my cat? and now you're going single?

anyhew...I modified a customers harness to cut out the un-needed connectors, I could help you out as well. It really cleans things up.

I just got my single up and running we can meet up sometime one weekend if you want to check things out.

Not one solenoid under my hood. And a very custom harness too
