seattle seven
Too bad, I've never heard of any issues with them and they were quite nice with the vinyl and tweed inserts!
Corbeau seats now residing, with custom recaro mesh headrests in the works...

The RB upholstery was for my 85 lowback seats. The seat bottoms would not fit. My upholstery guy could not make them work.

Sevenstock prep:
Put her up in the air and checked to make sure everything down there was tight. A little engine bay cleaning as well.
Tomorrow I'll change the oil.
This weekend I'll give her a bath...really needs it as her stable mate shed a lot of rust while I working on it.

Thanks for the interest. Let me get the fitment perfect. Then let's figure out whether it's economically feasible, for you and me, to send some over. Note that in the Philippines we get taxed like crazy so all my raw mat is expensive to start with. Also, I'm sure you guys have someone already near you that works in carbon fiber. Maybe if all of you got together and pooled money for the molds, you'll come out ahead of whatever I would have to charge for my work plus shipping.

I'll be making bumpers as well. Those stock 5mph bumpers weigh a ton! Hood almost done.

Flogged her on the track with the Mazda factory race cars at Sevenstock on Saturday:
The car pulled really well. Tommy, my driver, was only going 50% and he was already scaring me. Passed the Mariah car quite easily. We hit the straights at 120mph and Tommy was just getting warmed up.
Unfortunately, during the second demo run I lost an apex seal due to a rookie mistake on my part...I didn't locktite the screw holding the velocity stacks on my Weber. The track was bumpy...one of the screws worked their way off and went into the intake. So, I'm running on one rotor now.
Lesson learned. Just got back from Sevenstock today and verified the carnage with a compression test. One apex seal has left the building. I'll be pulling the engine in a couple of weeks and we'll rebuild it and put it back in.

stuff like this happens when you have a new car and go to the track. short term it sucks, but long term its going to be awesome. we plan to abduct it, and spend a day setting up the suspension, corner weight, etc. then another day at the dyno, and then do a weekend at the track and after that it should be bulletproof, and FAST.
oh and it was really epic just to see it on the banking with the other factory cars...

Sad to hear of your trouble, FM; your car looked and sounded awesome out there!
I just put the Beastie to bed last night after two shows on back-to-back Saturdays; JCCS on the 24th (brought home 2nd-place in "Best RX-7") and then Sevenstock where I was quite honored to be front-rowed by the stage.
Drove her to work Monday as the weather was nice and the car was already 'dirty' from the day at Fontana. Still get the grins every time I have a chance to take her through the canyon. Purring like a champ.
I've had near-zero car time in the last year between work and hot weather. Now that things will start to cool down a bit I hope to get some longevity projects moving along. Nothing dramatic, probably. Maybe finally replace the clutch, maybe new front pads and a de-glaze on the rotors and drums.
Still in the game, just not all that deeply of late.

Here's some GoPro vid from my demo run with the Mazda factory 4-rotors at Sevenstock 19. Enjoy!
