Yes, Rich's obsession with FD modifications is finally getting the best of him. He's going to unveil those at DGRRX: "I just can't stop - look at my bitchin lambo doors"

^^As a cat nut, my mom is lolz-ing about this shot

Spent some time at the shop today tinkering with the car. Finished up the install of all my amber Defi BF gauges..... installed the new oil temp and oil px sending units. Really great gauges, will have pics of them tomorrow. I'll warn you guys now, there are five gauges in total along with my wideband. Yes, it looks like something out of Top Gun

Also prepped my steering rack to be pulled in order to install my new Maval rack along with new tie rod ends. I also have to install new Tanabe sway bars F/R along with new end links. Gotta love Mazda--the damn end links cost almost as much as the Tanabe bars......

Hi there! Did you know I was living near you for a while? I was in Baltimore, but now I am back in TN. Looks like you are doing the RX-7 thing still. I guess I might be doing it if I had a 20B. I'm driving a M3 and thinking about a M5. I still think about owning a CYM and probably would if I could drive a new one off the lot. Been doing any interesting projects?

Some pics from this last weekend's work. Not everything is pictured, but you'll get the idea. Thanks to my brother Ryan for the assistance

***Maval Manual Steering Rack (love it so far)
***Tanabe Sway Bars front and rear
***Super Pro Steering Rack Bushings
***Sending units for Defi Oil Temp and Oil Px (and an oil change)
***New t-stat neck with front nipple deleted (and coolant flush)
***Neo synth 75w90 in tranny

One thing I'd like some input on...... now that I have an oil temp gauge, the readings seem (way) too low. Sourcing the temp readings from the oil filter pedestal.

With the car warmed up but driving easy due to bigtime rain, I was seeing a constant ~135 F on the highway and ~160 F around town.

Coolant temps were ~195 F. R1 dual oil coolers, stock oiling system with the exception of cleaning up the casting around the oil pump during the build. My oil px was ~105 psi on the highway, which seems high. Idemitsu 10w30 oil.

I also installed a pair of new authentic 99 (96?) spec taillights that I got from my buds over at www.rx7.com. I removed the LED lights I had temporarily been running due to their uneven light output..... the lights insert into the tails from the bottom, and the LEDs only had lights on the top portion, so no light shone through from the circumference of the bulb, if that makes sense. No pic of that unfortunately.

First shot is a comparo between my old converted light (driver's side) and the new light. Then a pair of shots with the lights installed on both sides. You can see a set of Yoko AD08s waiting to go on my brother's FD, they've exceeded my expectations thus far both in the dry and the wet (I have them on my RPF1s).

Last pic shows the fitment of the R-Magic oil cooler ducts from the backside.

Sorry about that Rich as I know you went with my recommendations on those. I don't know why I did not notice that before but I did the last time I was in Orlando and I followed Jesus over to the dyno. I'll find a better option and report back to you.

What you don't like the painted option on the factory lights? It always worked great for me.

A few pics from this past weekend comparing the oem us OMP to the jdm Mikuni unit.... you can see the size difference, which allows you to mount the RA adapter. Last pic shows just how tight the fitment is on my setup between the us OMP and the A-Spec long runner manifold

Lastly some different views of the RA adapter installed on a customer's engine

Spent all day yesterday out on Long Island being tuned by Enzo on his new Mainline dyno at his shop. Had a blast hanging out with Roan, Anthony, Roy, and Ernie T

Extremely happy with Enzo's tuning, he was able to pull some very good results out of my setup....... 440 rwhp at 16 psi and 487 at 20 psi. Pump gas with water injection. Car feels like an absolute rocket on the street, the high boost setting is officially labeled 'scary fast'

I really recommend the FJO injector driver box to all those with top feed injectors, the resistors were killing my fueling capacity and precision. The FJO box combined with Enzo's tuning abilities led to my FD *finally* realizing it's full potential after having the 500R setup for over four years.

I don't have dyno sheets but have a few videos I hope to have up in the next few days
