We have the next batch and are working on them now however my time is limited this month so it's been dragging on a bit. I'll keep everyone updated on this next batch as it comes along and we'll do our best to keep the pace up.

This isn't too big of a deal, and this is probably just some stuff cooking off, but has anyone fired up theirs and have what I can only describe as a very unique smell from these things? In my case, it's only one side, but after about 30 seconds of on time, there was a very distinct smell from one of 'em, like something was burning off.

This is the first time I've played with any aftermarket lighting system and with HIDs in particular, and the epoxy on the housings, paint and whatnot, I suppose it's possible.

Just curious.

I was wondering, what about replacement bulbs for the future, where are they available?

They really dont get that hot through, which makes me wonder whats going on. I'm sure you cleaned the bulbs (though even running them without being cleaned wont cause a burning smell). They run much cooler than halogens so I wouldnt think you should get the housings hot enough to off gas the paint but you never know... I just havent experienced it myself. Does it smell... electrical? like a burning connector or something? Honestly, you shouldn't smell much of anything really. Shoot me a PM... cause this sounds out of the ordinary.

bulbs are standard OEM D2S bulbs so replacements will not be any problem to find

Not at all, but just to remind everyone in this subsequent GB list that unfortunately we need to reach a minimum of 24 before the next GB is a go (minimum housing order from sonar). If its close we may pick up the last couple sets but we have a ways to go at this point.

To everyone in the CURRENT GB, everyone up to #23 should have recieved their lights... everyone in the 24 and up bracket we are making progress on that group though we do have a ways to go. I'll get some progress pictures up shortly. -Heath

nope. once we reach 24 we will start taking deposits. I wanted to repeat again that the price for the "new" GB is $850 as the price on housings has gone up and I was basically donating my time before as they are so time consuming to make.

Nope, we aren't doing deposits. We will just ask for full payment when it's time to order all the bits and pieces of the kits.

Ok, no worries.

I know this is off-topic, but are you still kicking out the cooler kits? BNRs at 17.5 psi with one cooler is no bueno..

Yes sir We have the kits stocked (well turn around time is a week for the cores, but we stock everything else). We're gearing up for another GB on the coolers but who knows how long that will take to materialize lol. But yes, 19/25 row dual cooler kits are available for 93 or 99/aftermarket bumpers. We really need to get the website finished as people could actually see the current list of parts we have for sale and it will update inventory. Someday soon we hope ...

just a quick question
i was thinking about going for more of a sleepy eye look (not to sleepy haha) but just enough so the lights aren't fully retracted. with this hid kit would that be possible with aiming etc ?

Depends how much you can adjust the lights upwards to compensate. There is a fair amount of adjustability with the stock aiming points but I can't really answer that question... you'll just have to try it on your stock lights first and decide.

That is a much more involved question than simply readjusting the lights with the OEM units. You'll have to figure out how much you want the lights to popup and then modify either the headlight bucket control arms or the motors to accomplish this. Then, you'll need to figure out the "bump stop" on the units so they do not vibrate while you drive.

I guess it might be possible to use this kit to do this, but I don't think so. As you lessen the height of the headlights for the sleepy eye look, in addition to what I have descried above , you'll need to change the angle of the entire headlight assembly so it still is level. Also, you'd need to ensure the entire 90mm bi-xenon module is above the bumper so the light will work.

If you are able to do all of the above, you are better starting with something that will fit better for you. Do a search - try my name - wink wink - and you find examples of how to do this.

If this sounds daunting, then but a kit like this and call it a day.

Sorry guys, with ordering large quantities it is sometimes difficult to secure all the parts quickly. The remaining projectors are on the way and should arrive in a few days. We appreciate your patience so far. Heath should start knocking these kits out once the parts arrive. Since the projectors held up production the kits being finalized is still a few weeks out.
