Thats a healthy fuel system! What kind of pump? Are those fans gonna pull enough cfm and hold up to the elements? Are they for cool down after some track runs?

Wow, Keep up the great work.

You should get the Most Improved RX thread award!

Or Most hrs and $$ spent in 12 Mo's award!!

Bosch 044; It a sealed fan so the elements are covered, and it is for cool down after some track time runs or stop and go traffic. It's only rated at 330 cfm at 13.5 volts. Which will be activated either by temperature switch or by my fan switch I have in the cabin.

Thanks for the props. Most hours and $$ spent in 26 months is more like it.

Midpipe finished and lastly need to extend the WG outlet tube. I'm going to add some shielding to the WG body to help it out on the temp side. Bobby added louvres to my wheel well plastics to improve air evacuation on the oil coolers. In person they look pretty good.

WG outlet done and in, the pipe is the lowest point of the chassis. Bobby also fab'd up a heat shield to protect the secondary injector and electrical wiring. IC and Airbox next.

Looking at the hours needed to complete this car and Tune it, I won't be able to make the 24th track day. But I will be able to make the March 1st event.

Things to do:

IC Mounts, endtanks & ducting, Air Box & Vacuum Lines, Catch tank final fit up, wiring harness re-routing, Cooling system block off seals, final engine reassembly, compressor housing mod for improved routing to IC, Second BOV install & recirc routing, front bumper cut & buff, oil cooler ducting, adjust lights, street then dyno tune, emissions, then register vehicle and finally get custom vinyl stickers made. ~50+ hours

Maybe if I was driving on the street doing quick bursts, yes. Overheating at a track when pushing it is a given, all just a matter of time. Besides I gotta look good doing it, or what's point...kidding.

The vinyl stickers are: car number, electrical shutoff, and few other ones I need for other racing events this year. This doesn't take that long, just another thing I got to take care of.

Still in the process of deciding if I really need it faze. If I went to a Motec ecu unit, it would be a prerequisite. And it's not just a reservoir, http://www.rotaryaviation.com/oil_in...p_adaptors.htm

Well progress being made, the long task of making an aluminum Airbox and IC endtanks has arrived. Going to seals unlimited today to get some specialty seals.

As discussed by other 500R owner a sacrificial 9/16" wrench is needed in order to tighten one of the nuts. All hail to the turbo Gods.

look at it this way, your ride is going to blow the doors off of most cars. period. I would even say a 600+ hp maserati will have a hard time keeping up. take your time man, if you do not take it slow I swear that murphy's law will catch up with you, and thats sucks big time (I lost six motors because I was being stupid)

Slowly but surely. Need to finish the endtanks, weld in the Second BOV flange and start cutting up the 4" tubing for the air box.

Peace

IC endtanks done, not totally happy with how they turned out so these will be classified as version 1.0. Will see how they perform and make new ones down the road if needed. Space limitations were a real limiting factor. Need to setup and finish the mounting arrangement of the IC and work on the air box setup.

so your tuning the bov to vent to atmosphere but taking that air and just putting it back to feed the turbo?

Yes, when the BOV discharges, it blows pressurized air at the compressor and if done right makes it spin faster for a short period. The byproduct is it improves turbo response between shifts.

Intake tube done, next up final IC mounting, IC ducting, temporary airbox/rad block-off, fluids and start her up.

Well, Bobby and I went to the wee hours of 3am last night, but didn't quite get done. Bobby is still working on the temporary aluminum duct for the IC. So tonight finish that, check fluid's, finish block-offs and start tuning. Anybody want to be my high on ramp spotter while I do some triple digit pumps.

Well bad news, the wg did not open on my first pull and I overboosted to 34 psi and blew the apec seals on my rear rotor and destroyed the turbine the 500R. I am in the process of talking to Synapse on the malfunction/mis-information.
