help me identify this connecter

Question help me identify this connecter

ok so im trying to figure out what the hell this plug goes to, i didnt take a picture but its really easy to explain,

its the black connector that is in the area with the primary fuel injector connectors and the green connector that goes into the waterpump.
someone please help me figure this out asap

the o2 sensor> ? how many prongs does it have.?

single wire? could be for the switch that sits in top of the water pump housing...

would be either the O2 sensor wire on on S4 n/a or S5, it could also be the A/C coolant temp switch on the S5 models which was generic to the harness so it may not have a plug on the water pump housing.

Green wire, black stripe. It's the connector for the axuilary e-fan temp switch, which on S4's is located on top of the thermostat housing. If you car doesn't have the fan it won't have the temp switch either, so the connector is unused.

The O2 sensor wire has a green plug.

it doesnt reach anywhere at all, it seems like it would be somewhere on the uim but there is nothing to plug it into, the plug its self is different than all the rest cause its a round clip style and not square like the rest of them

oooooops, i did read your post NZconvertible but i didnt get to look at the wire, but i brought my spare harness home with me and i just did and thanks a bunch, saves me a whole lot of worrying if i didnt connect something i was susposed to.

and now i cant find my o2 senser wire, some one tell me where to look please

My O2 wire comes out of my harness under the UIM and the connector is a green round single prong. It's the only connector like that around there. I'm assuming it will be the same as yours (86 for mine).
