I'm a strong beleiver in you get what you pay for but the other day i was looking for either a turbo motor or a mean nasty street ported na to drop in my s4. I came across this website OsakaJDMMotors.com and they have a 13bt for $750 plus shipping. this comes with everything...(tranny, ac, power steering, computer and complete turbo.) they dont list the miles though. I was wondering if anyones ever ordered an engine from here and if it is legit.

i ordered a b16 from them some time ago. it was your normal JDM motor from overseas and the compression was decent. just be prepared to pay all the government **** from customs since they are based in canada... by then, it will be just as much as anyone else in the states.

 

they have a bad rep. Look in the good guy bad guy section.

WORST IMPORTER EVER. 2 of the 3 13b's I ordered from them were shot. 1 had no compression on 1 rotor, one had all the softseals shot.. They also sent the wrong engines (s5 when I asked for s4)

It appears that due to forum cleaning a bunch of the OSAKASUCKs threads have been irraticated..

osaka is hilarious. GARBAGE if you ask me.

I personally went down there a few years ago to pick up a motor they had ready for me, for fun I ask if I can check the compression and the guy says.

No man there perfect new new out of 30k car. Then i say okey so its quick .

Turns out I didnt even need to use a compression tester did the good old check .

and well after checing 8 motors there , I concluded they were all garbage. they did have a nice greddy tdo7 setup, but seemed only good thing on it was the turbo setup and for $ 3500 i think they were crazy ( motor also pooched ).


so all in all stay away from osaka !.

Tell you the truth almost any jdm motor, I would rebuild once you get it.

I ended up getting a pretty nice jspec block from another shop ( osaka was $ 750 and i payed $ 1200 for a shop around the block ( theres like 8 shops in the area ).

And still ended up rebuilding it for safety.

osaka=crap my 13brew had no comperssion on rear rotor big as hassle with them stuck with 2500.00 ancur now sel itl for 1100.00 ( its worth)

 

why don't you just get a rebuild?

If you really want a turbo setup, you can source the parts individually.

 

I could have sold you an GOOD REW for less than that delivered.. Sorry you got taken..
