I heard at SS9 that some people were having problems with their strut bars not clearing this hood. Anyone have that problem? I had to lightly shave mine with a dremel to clear it, but otherwise there were no problems.

HAHA.. yea strut bar dont fit. Any one need a Cusco Oval Shaft Front Strut Tower Bar?

Ahh cool, so that showcar has a modified hood. Someone brought this up early in the thread and no one addressed the issue. Thanks for clearing that up.

yea that's what i was thinking in the beginning, but after seeing how much i would have to trim i opted to just take the bar off and fabricate one later.

this is about what i would have had to cut out to fit the cusco bar

I wonder why mine fit so easily.... I don't even know what brand it is for sure (got it with the car) but its very similar to the mazdatrix 4-point strut bar.

I would check with Ken on whether you get the GB pricing b/c technically, we sent our deposits in 3 months ago (or more) which helped pay for the original hood, mould-making, cost of materials, etc...
