Am I missing anyone? So then at the current time, lets see who (in the order they are) has the money to pick up their hoods right now. At a certian point, it seems the list goes on to the next person who is ready, and the people who got passed up are basically first in line for the next batch, if they don't opt to pass again.

Is this the way its working?

Red one is BN Sports Type 1 (type 2 has headlight cut-outs). Purple one is GP SPorts style with painted Canard wings.

Well mine looks to be a Mazdatrix strut tower bar (couldn't tell you for sure) and it cleared the hood with very minor trimming.

Sorry about the blurry pic...

RyoFC3S, That is NOT a mazdatrix strut tower bar. Looks to me like a CP Racing bar.

Mazdatrix Strut Tower Bar:

CP Racing Bar (couldn't find where to order one though...):

Yeah, looks like mine is more similar to the CP Racing one (but not identical).

Looks like you have a CP bar to me. Be glad you haven't found anywhere to buy another though. Many people have sent them money and never recieved ****.

Thats too bad. Its pretty quality work.

When I purchased the car 3.5 years ago (almost bone stock) the guy threw the strut bar in the trunk. Never heard where it came from. The welds look slightly different.. maybe mine's custom based off the CP one, or an older model.

Probably an older model before they put their name on the bar. I've heard from some people that actually did get bars from CP and they all said the welds were terrible. I don't think I ever heard of any of the welds breaking though.

so for the CP (look-a-like) did you shave the end of the scoop (making the hole bigger)

or did you shave the bottom of the hood (making the hood thinner)?

think the mazdatrix will fit? does anyone know of any brands that might have a slimmer,(flatter) bar??

i was looking at the tanabe, and new greddy bar, but they dont show the dimensions

can you flip the bar around 180 degrees?
I have a similar bar and run the bar on the firewall side of the strut towers to clea my LS1 intake.

Here is what I did (I actually overshaved it a little bit...):

The green is where I cut, the red is where it ran originally. I did the same thing on both sides.

The cuts only needed to be about the size of 1/2 of a quarter. I did about the size of a full quarter.

Looks to me like only my strut bar type would work unless you had one that went behind the engine instead of infront of it (which I have never seen). Mazdatrix looks to be too far back and would not clear the downward sloping part.
