Man, I haven't been to a SevenStock since #7... which was being talked up as the last one ever to be held, at the time. BD,DT,GTTS.

OK, now I got to get the -7 legal, so I can go. Plenty of time.

Well, just liek last year, you are more than welcomed to hang with the misses and I. I enjoyed your company

i'll post for sure this friday on wether i'm going or not. I've gotta wait for papers from the ATF to be returned to me by them before i can commit to 7stock, or if i will be doing something else during that week of september.

Hai.

So everything is booked for me! Land at John Wayne at 3:15 Friday! After shuttling over to the hotel I should be there by 4 or so I'd say.

Woo excited!

I never go above 9k! In fact it blew at like 8500 in 2nd, well it blew as I shifted from 2nd to 4th or something, I dunno.

Basically I was pulling onto the freeway from a stop, shifted into 2nd and floored it. Shifted at 8500 from 2nd to 4th and all power was GONE, sounded like a broken chainsaw, wouldn't go faster than 45mph, etc. Then it shut off and wouldn't restart.

It was pretty neat because it happened at 4:45am on my way to work.

You shifted from second to fourth at 8500 rpm and didn't expect anything to happen???????? How does your hand shift from second to fourth anyway?!

What exactly is wrong with shifting from 2nd to 4th at 8500? Redline is 9k, going to 4th at that speed dropped it down to like 6k I think? Maybe less, but around there. So I don't get what the issue is?

And 4th is right next to 2nd, you just take it out of 2nd and pop it right on over, very simple. I skip gears going up and down a lot, not hard.

Oh well, at least there is the 8 year 100,000 mile warranty, so you'll get a new motor

Well, I guess if you're experienced enough to do that and match gears (shrugs)

Mazda just called, 0 compression on rear rotor!

Anyways they said that "due to all your modifications we have to contact Mazda headquarters and they will make the decision on your warranty." But they can't void my warranty for freaking exhaust and intake.

I cant remember what date but my buddy showed me something where it listed a specific date... And to the ls1 swap yeah thats cool iand all but if you havent gone yet its fun but i have seen people talk **** to other peoples face at the last sevenstock. You have to understand its a huge rotary event there are anti piston signs everywhere! To me its like bringing a harley with a honda motor to a harley davidson convention of course people are going to look at you differently

I think if they were not dealer installed they actually can void the warranty. You better start reading that fine print.

Their stipulations are that if they can prove the modifications caused the damage then it's not covered. So I think I will be fine, and the service guy does too but it's not up to him.

Either way the service guy said that Mazda might charge me "some" of the install time for "having to deal with aftermarket parts" or something along those lines. Whatever that means of course, because intake/exhaust comes off the same way stock or not, in fact mine should be easier. But we'll see what happens!

LMAO. Damned stealerships trying to screw everybody. Charging you to take off an intake and exhaust. Want me to come out there and bust some skulls?
