I don't think Chattanooga has a dyno. I might be wrong but haven't heard of one close by...

B-ham, Huntsville, & Nashville are all about 2 hours away from Chattanooga (me).

I'll probably hit the B-ham session. I'm still scared of the dyno and that's closer to the shop for me...

I don't have an attitutude about anything lol. If you guys set something up with Steve, it is all you. If you have more than 5 people, he will be more than glad to go wherever you want him to go.

The reason I really urge people to come to bham is I have a shop that you guys can use while your down. Just being generous. I have a boat load of parts that are there if any of you guys need replacements. Paul, this priveledge paid off for you last time! Glad it wasn't crank wobble hehehe.

As for driving untuned cars, I suggest to trailor them. It will be very tough to make a 3-4 hour trip in somthing that isn't completely tuned. Don't do what I did years ago. Drive hours and hours away for tuning and get stranded waiting for someone to pick my broke *** up!

We can make seperate dates, it doesn't really matter . If someone misses one, he can catch the next date.

Bryan

Huntsville is a central location for all cities mentioned... 100 miles from all of them. Shoot me, but it seems to make more sense for the Tennesse guys to come here rather than go an additional 100 miles to B'ham.

mike. . . like i said, im all for huntsville. ANYTHING closer. im not knocking birmingham at all. . . just wanting something closer. THATS ALL. all i did was point out that everytime a post is put out that steve can come to tennessee or somewhere else in the se area. . . someone gets on and says, "your best chance is birmingham. . . hes coming here in 'x' number of days anyways. . ." im wanting a sooner date than 2 months away. there are a lot of others wanting something else as well. yes, i was sarcastic earlier, but if you lived in tennessee and were needing tuning youd understand where i come from. thats all.

no i wasnt attacking you bryan, i think youre a great guy. and i DO appreciate your letting me use your shop, BUT if you remember the last time. . . i almost wrecked my car on the way down there. all im worried about is safety and TIME. i had to go into work straight out of being awake and hussling for 12 or so hours last time. its only obvious that i would opt for a dyno session closer to home. . . and im sure i could make that happen.

I would rather do Huntsville than b'ham. I would much rather do Knoxville though, but I don't think we would have enough people that would come here though.

Wow....Just saw this thread today and thought I should chime in. I'll go anywhere that needs tuning as long as I get around 5 people in one location. I can do up to 7 per day but that is assuming that everybody's car is in good running/working order. When I have to spend 3-5 hrs in one car, I'll have problems tuning others. The most important thing is that be ready and make sure everything is in good working order before tuning. I know that alot of things are hard to detect until the day of tuning but at least be prepared for it. If i can stick with the 2hrs/car limit, I think it'll work out better. Just make sure you change your plugs before going onto the dyno (not while the car is already strap in). I do like to tune cars with a fresh set of plugs (just right before tuning). If your car runs extra rich, it'll fouled a fresh set of plugs from driving to the dyno session so changing it at the dyno place is ideal for me.

Well I'm supposed to be buying plane tickets to Boston for the weekend of July 10th. I hope Steve isn't doing the 9th in B-ham and the 10th in Huntsville. I wonder how mad my girlfriend would be....

Hey Steve, why dont you street tune a 700 RWHP Pump machine hehehe I am sure you won't be able to pay attention to the tuning when you are sideways at 90mph!

i am hoping to not make the least amount of power.

i'll have spent the least money per horsepower, though.

Phil, That would be great! I take it you went with bigger secondaries?

Man, I just hope it all comes together for me. So many new parts and only 5-6 weeks to do it all. I still need to decide on a IC.

Yeh, I'm going with either the 1200's or 1300's and 850's. Running with Cosmo fuel pump.. which I need to call my friend in Columbus, OH.

I'm debating about going single.. Hmm..

I'm still researching stuff I plan to buy, but all that I've aquired so far are PFC and 99 RZ twins. More to come.

Beware, I'm going to be asking everyone a hell-of-a-lot of questions and recommendations on what would work best.

Wow! Don that sounds cool also.
Sounds like the AL guys are finally stepping up to the plate...

""Running with Cosmo fuel pump.. which I need to call my friend in Columbus, OH.""

What is the expected #'s from the cosmo pump? I need to find out if my nippon (rx7.com store sells) will flow enough?

Well, lol. My previous plans were to just max out my fuel system around 475ish. But talking to stephen, he has kinda convinced me to go ahead and install a double pumper, install some 1600's to replace my 1200's, also go with a bigger turbo and down pipe than previously planned. So I guess we will go till it pops, if it pops. MAYBE numbers will be in the mid 500's. The engine has around 30K on it, so we'll see how much more abuse this engine can take . It will be my daily driver till it pops and then my 323 GTX or my t2 will be there for back up if needed lol.

Stephen will be going for a little more power than he did last time, but he isn't going all out just yet. I am hoping we can reach the 420 plateu but keep your fingers crossed. After he puts some miles on those turbos and gives them hell, he will have some fat daddy universal twins with a manifold waiting for him.
