Question Would there be any interest in a tuning session in Huntsville?

Just wondering if there would be enough interest in a dyno/ street tunning session for Huntsville? I still need to find out more info from the dyno shop and Steve Kan but I thought if there was enough interest we could make it happen!! It would be a place to bring in the Nashville guys and Birmingham guys. Anyone??

"I think Steve is comming to Birmingham again soon."

Thats what I was thinking. Maybe Huntsville would be a good alternitive. 3.5 hrs Atlanta, 1.5 Nashville, 1.5 Birmingham. Thats driving slow.... I will call the dyno today.. Anyone else going to be in need of tunning soon? Maybe we could make the next AL club meeting here with a dyno session.......

Mike,
The next club meeting is next month here in Huntsville. You want to help me organize some stuff? Call me cause I lost your number when my phone was stolen at Mardi gras.

Sorry guys I was out of town in Myrtle Beach!! Just got in tonight. Wife made me leave the lab top so I would not stay on the damn pc all week! Anyway I will call the dyno in the morning and also check with Steve on pricing and such.. I am sure we will need 6-8 guys. Also I am 99% sure tunning will be avalible to all generations as long as they have tunable ecu's (Haltech-microtech-AEM-Apex, etc..)

Don, I will get with you on the meeting. Think we could put it off until we get this set up? Mike

We've agreed to hold the meeting off till the weekend of June 26th and 27th. There's an autocross meet that weekend that TAC is putting together and they have invited us (MRCCAL) to attend.

Ok, I have talked with the dyno shop. It is a Dyno jet model 224x if anyone knows what this means, great! He is working me a price for a full day. Looks like $65-70 an hour right now. I would think everyone would need 2 hours. So just waiting to here from Steve on his pricing and dates available. I told the dyno it would be atleast 6-8 weeks away.

I'd be up for that. It'd be nice if it were moved up to about 3-4 weeks from now, so we have all summer to enjoy our rides afterward. Regardless, count me in, unless something comes up.

Did not here back from Steve today, maybe Friday I will here from him. Since we have our club meeting in late June I will shoot for that same weekend. That's 4.5 weeks. I do not want to move it up since my tubo kit will not be here until a week or so before that (fingers X'ed) You know how that goes..

Don, Are you going to have a new motor in soon? Are you interested in tunning? my cell # 256-337-3676

Anyone know if Garfinkle will need tunning? We only have 3-4 guys so far and I am sure we need atleast 6 for tunning. Also anyone just interested in getting a few dyno pulls will be welcome too.

Also, I would need tuning.. My engine should be ready in mid to end of June.

Is July too late for you guys??

Ok, Just talked with Steve.. It will have to be in July as he is in NY in late June and early june is too soon. pricing is his standard fee of $300 + $65 per hour dyno time. We need atleast 5-8 cars for dyno tunning. I will shoot for the Saturday of July 10th. Week before no good due to Independence Day.

Stephen, Phil and Brian,, You guys intersted in comming up here? New Dyno and shop!

So as of now I will start the sign up sheet. Once we have 5-8 signed up I will start taking $$ and reserve the dyno. If you just want a dyno pull NO tunning you may sign up at $75.

1. Mike Jtineant Dyno tune

No, it probably won't be till the end of summer/beginning of fall before I get my new engine and install it. I'll probably try to get tunning sometime after that.

I do not think it will come down to were Steve wants to go but a matter of if both of us book him or decide to combine people. I think we have 4 guys here commited so we just need 1-4 more.. I think some of the guys comming here would not be interested in driving to B-ham... Besides I think the dyno here is cheaper... If Phil and Stephen commit to here that would be enough. I know Brian needs tunning but I think Steve is not charging him because he owes it to him. So we can not count him as a paying person...

Phil, Shoot me an email. I have a guy here who wants to see if you can get him a set of 99 turbo's. sk8world@hiwaay.net
