Limepro, props for taking him in. He looks happy there! If he smelled like fuel he will have no issues living with a 7 owner!

The bend on the Greddy elbow was causing issues with the intercooler piping being right up against the altenator bracket, plus was having clearence issues with the oil filler neck. I bought a rotary works elbow and it has the right bend for the i/c piping and clears the oil filler, but needs to be modified since it doesnt allow me to close the hood by 1/2 inch. Or Might have to find a stock RE elbow.

I went to the JAX meet on Saturday and heard how a 1st gen should run. It was suggested that my timing might be off a tooth.

Today, I attempted to set my timing. FAIL!

laz, is that two water temps both at 94? also what is the 64, is that intake temps? if so, that is hot as hell, where is your AIT sensor located? if my car saw that temp it would retard ignition almost 3 degrees!

joe, i am going to have to report you to the mods. the thread title is what you did to YOUR RX-7, so post pics of what you did to your car! you should show off the new sexiness that got installed in your FD

Get the aluminum http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mazda...Q5fAccessories

I got them for $160, offer him $150 he might accept it. haven't had a single problem with them and they go in super easy.

It is to damn hot out there for a mostly stock cooling system. On my way home I hit temps closing in on 200 degrees, letting it cool down a little bit and then flushing the coolant since I don't know when the last time it has been done. The temp spiked after a big back fire and my radio cut off so it might not have gotten hot at all, but at least it didn't overheat.

What is the best ratio for coolants in the hot summer? I think I am going to park it until it cools down some just in case though.
