WARNING: There is a man in S Florida selling FAKE SUPER SEALS
Hey guys I am posting this up on behalf of Rotary Aviation. They are a good friend of mine. This guy is going around selling apex seals saying they are the black seals. They are in the process of trying to catch the duplicate thieve. If you guys see this guys stuff being sold don't buy them and please send a link to Rotary Aviation's page of them. They are cheap apex seals.
This is what the guys at rotary aviation wrote on facebook.
WARNING: There is a man in S Florida selling FAKE SUPER SEALS. He sold some at Moroso Raceway a few weeks ago. They are black but with white lettering, They are NOT OUR PRODUCT! Please beware of what you are purchasing. The fake seals are of inferior quality. We have confirmed this first hand.

I'm sorry if this is not the right spot to post this, but I figured that this would be a good place to put it cause people are buying performance parts and the last thing I want is this guy coming in here and selling these fake products to our rotary enthusiast family in here.
links of the sellers stuff :
mazda Rx7 Rx8 12a 13b apex seals and gasket set here is more mazda Rx7 12a 13b rebuild kit
mazda Rx7 13b racer-rebuild kit

Thanks for the heads up.... and here are 2 facts to help you...
1) He is in Central Florida NOT in the South.
2) Just be aware that no where in his add does he claim them to be "Super Seals" he only list them as "Black seals"... It may be hard for R.A to try and make a claim against him for these generic parts...

If there is someone out there making and selling apex seals that look like RA seals but are not, that's a problem.
This person is making money on RA's reputation. I've used their apex seals in countless high-powered builds, and have been VERY impressed with their quality control and tolerances.
Some amateur builders/assemblers may use these seals without closely inspecting their length, width, and straightness. Would suck to fire off a fresh build and have it be bad right out of the box.
Not to mention that this can hurt RA's existing reputation, and if people read of issues down the road, there is always the question of 'did I get the real deal or not?'
So maybe this guy is doing something wrong after all......

My only opinion is that people are quick to call this guy out for selling fake RA seals, when RA itself hasn't even provided evidence of their "inferior quality." Who cares if this guy calls them "super seals" or "mega seals" or "super mega happy - me love you long time" seals. If a buyer isn't purchasing from a reputable dealer because they cant afford being charged out the *** for 6 pieces of machined metal, the risk is on the buyer.
If they really couldn't afford them, RA isn't losing out on their business anyway. The only people that are associating these seals with RA are the people that haven't even bought them.
I even posted the question on their Facebook - and guess what... no reply.
Would *I* buy them... no - but until someone proves otherwise - my "opinion" stands.
