I was the number 3 fuel pump problem....

The same thing happened the last time there was a dyno at Petits shop.

he changed my spark plugs for me while the car was strapped to the dyno. Doing it from the top is a PITA. The bottom is much easier.

You, NeoZ06, and Moosjaw all had supra tt fuel pump problems.

 

Yeah, i had to get a new Supra pump installed, (leaning out a bit at redline on the first couple of pulls) one of the guys at the shop had one in his Skyline GT-R and sold it to me, swapped it right there (thanks Phil)! and it went back on the dyno with no more issues!

oh i didnt know neo had problems, man they had a skyline there??? so i was the first to have problems, and luckily they had a new one and got it fixxed.. then neo,got the second one and moosejaw got **** out of luck.. man i never heard of these pumps going bad... moose im not sure why you didnt change it long ago when you knew the reason for your last rebuild was because the pump gave out.

O sooo phil helped you out huh, when he was just coaching me and timing on how long it took to change....

 

I thought we had 7 out of 10 cars that had fuel pressure problem.... I think 3 were replaced and fixed it. The other had to be rewire to get the proper voltage.

 

good thing i rewired mine like 4 weeks before.

 

It was dark, started to rain and i had very little time to get the car back on the dyno. (me, doing this by myself in a hurry, in the rain and dark would've been disaster lol)

I needed help!

No I did not know that faulty fuel pumps and a spun bearing went together like peanut butter and jelly.

yeah it was a lot of fun watching....i have never seen that before. one of the turbo couplers blew off in fourth gear so top speed suffered a bit. it ran the following

1.8 - 60'
7.6 - 1/8th
11.7 - 1/4

yeah you are right we don't give up on the FD but i will give up on these damn computers any day of the week.
