I have setup a tuning session with Steve Kan August 29th at West Palm Beach, down the road from Pettit Racing. It is at Road and Race Automotive.

We only have 3 guys for the tuning session and need atleast 5 for Steve to come down. So if you are interested please let me know and send the deposit as soon as possible. We may have to set back the date on the session.

Tuning costs:
$350 - Stock Turbo up to 12psi of boost (pump gas only) 1 map
$400 - Aftermarket Turbo up to 16psi of boost (pump gas only) 1 map
$450 - Aftermarket Turbo from 16psi - 25psi of boost (race gas and/or auxiliary injection only) 1 map
$600 - Aftermarket Turbo up to 25psi of boost (pump gas and race gas tune) 2 maps

Does he tune microtec's and second gen's. If I'm not satisfied with the power my mechanic can get out of the tune when my car is done I would be down.. But it would be about 2 months before it's done broken in and tuned. But I would be down to ride up and watch the show if I'm still breaking in the motor so I can put some miles on it

 

well this is for aug 29th so no, 2 months would be out the question.. plus it only took me 2 in a half weeks to brake in my car. just use it as you DD for a week and see how many miles you get.

 

well my tuner said he wont tune it till i put at least 1500 miles on it he stresses a proper break in.. So steve tunes microtec's then??

 

i believe he does, 1500 miles isnt that hard, just go on the turn pike or highway for a nice long drive, maybe like 50 or more miles a day/night

 

K so I am gonna see how realistic it will be in terms of funds and whether the car will be ready or not..Let you all know soon.. My tuner is offering 600 to install and tune the Microtec on the street and dyno.. I have heard alot about Steve but I might just wait and see if I'm happy with what charlie can do

 

Damn that sucks it's too late for me... My car will be out of the repair shop in about 7 days but the 29th I will be already up in California for school.

Would he be able to install and tune a Haltec F3 Fuel Management System?

I'm new to Ft Pierce.... I've got a megasquirt with a shitty tune but I wouldn't waste any money tuning this thing till I get another turbo. I would love to come watch and hang out with some Floridian 7 people though.

 

can i have the address of where it will be tunes? i want to map it to see how many miles i would have to come for the tune... or be stuck to far if something goes wrong.

 

Come on FL. we don't want to be the first STATE to cancle because we are unable to come up with the min 5 cars. I spoke to Steve today and we still have time to meet the deadline.

I pushed the date to Sept 26th. Hopefully there's enough time to get two additional people. for those who are interested and not paid for the deposit, you have until Aug 28th to send it in. If I don't get two other deposits, I'll either have to refund or push the date again.

alright guys, it doesn't look like it will happen end of Sept. So what date do you guys want to reset the date to?

i do need a tune, im tired of running only 10 psi on these BNRs 3!!.. if we can try 1 more month... but im getting tired of waiting.. if there are more people up in the orlando area, i dont mind to trailer my car there.

I have new street-ported motor with an FJO injection setup with stock turbos and 4x850cc injectors.

I could do Sept. 26.

If not, what's the next date ? I CANNOT due October 16 or October 31.
